Hi! My name is Jenn. I go to VBF Las Vegas. I am a 35 yr. old mom of 1. My son's name is Trent and he is 11 and in the fifth grade. We love VBF and have been going there since May 2005. I got saved the day that Brian Welch came and shared his testimony. That was the best day of my life! It has been a wild ride for me since then. God knew that he had to change my character a lot so in June 2005 the trials began! I got flesh eating bacteria on my right ankle and foot. I was stuck in the hospital for a straight month after the first surgery. Twelve surgeries followed over the next year including two skin grafts! I was almost healed when the same flesh eating bacteria attacked my left foot almost a year to the day! This time it wasn't so bad because it was caught earlier. On the left foot it only required two surgeries. This whole time I was stuck in a wheelchair not able to drive. Did I fail to mention that I am also on dialysis because my kidneys failed in January 2003? I'm a mess I know! So my left foot was almost healed when I got put in the hospital for an infection in my cathedar. My knee was really swollen and hurting too. Come to find out I had torn the ligaments in my knee. Being in a wheelchair this whole time I'm still not really sure how I did this but leave it to me! There was also an infection in my knee. The fun never ends! This means yet another surgery. So now my foot is healing and I thought now that they fixed my knee I was on the mend. WRONG! The infection came back in my knee. Back to surgery I went. It was a serious MSRA infection where my doctor had to put antibiotic beads inside my knee that disolved slowly over a couple of months. Once I finally started to heal my doctor told me that with no cartilage and the severity of my arthritis in my knee I was going to be stuck in a wheelchair for the rest of my life! Being only 34 at the time and having a son to raise I did not consider this an option! Two years in a wheelchair was enough for me! I went to a higher authority...God! It was a Thursday night Pastor Ron laid hands on my knee and prayed. When he was done he said "Did you feel that heat and vibration in your knee?". I did and no kidding, two days later I was up out of the wheelchair using my walker. That was February 2007 and by April I was walking on my own. I could also drive again which made me very happy. Today I still walk slow and kind of limp but I am so blessed to be able to walk at all! Plus I am so blessed by all the people God brought into my life during these last two years that I have gotten to minister to and have grown friendships with it is simply amazing! Oh, the God stories I could tell you! If you want to hear some, come get to know me and I'll tell ya! I'm always at the 9:00 service on Sunday in Las Vegas and I'm usually at the Thursday night service too.=)

Good morning Jenn. I thought you would like this. This morniing I prayed and asked to give me a verse. I had prayed about being pridefull and to humble me. I waited and the word grace came to me and to look in the concordance and pointed to James 4:6. God is so awesome!
