Hello and Welcome to my page. I am currently the Chairman of Communications for First Church. Some of the recent projects of the committee have been the new phone system, the Computer lab, the new sound booth and equipment in the Sanctuary, and now researching this new networking system. I have been a member of First Church since 1968 when my family moved to Florida from Missouridue to my Dad’s military transfer to Eglin. After graduating from Niceville High Schooland then attending Okaloosa Walton for 2 years I went to Central Missouri State University(now The University of Central Missouri) where I met my wife to be at The Wesley Foundation, Asbury Hall. After Connie graduated, we married and came back to Fort Walton where we have raised our family.
First Church was the inspiration for me to keep involved in ‘church’ after going off to college. After going away to school where I was a total stranger I needed a place to be connected, so the Wesley Foundation was the logical choice. I’m glad it was. This is what First Church is for so many who come to Fort Walton; A place to be connected. That is one to the great things we do so well. We are a welcoming church, a family! |
