hey FOLKS, I really appreciate youor thoughts and prayers while I was in Kenya. It was an awesome trip - I felt like I was able to observe islands of hope in the middle of an ocean of despair. [You can read more on the RCC website or in the Chronicle.] I still am feeling the effects of jet lag [8 hours time difference] and experiencing the impact of re-entry. We have so much! But it was amazing to see what a HUGE positive impact the contributions child sponsors make in the life of what would otherwise be kids in hopeless situations. I'm glad I went, and very glad to be home. For those of you who are sponsoring a child, keep up the good work, and keep writing your kid - they LOVE your letters! PEACE, Pastor Gary

Hi Folks, We're talking about heaven on Sundays. So what are y'all thinking about the whole idea that heaven begins NOW in our hearts, and continues on FOREVER - thanks to Jesus' grace and love? Heaven = a totally consuming love relationship with Jesus; we're enraptured by His love (not captured by evil/satan or anything/one that would take Jesus' rightful place as #1 in our lives) I'd really like to read your comments. Hey folks, I really thought y'all did a great job leading us in worship!! I liked when the sopranos turned their backs to the congregation...it really caught my attention to the words you were singing. I also appreciated the guys staying awake inspite of losing an hour of sleep die to the earlier daylight saving time change...although you did look just a little "zoned" during John's sermon - HA! Y'all are really great! Peace in Jesus, FFG

| The last couple of days have given me some unexpected, unstructured time. How did I spend it? Doing some things I normally wouldn't have/take time to do...like reading, working on the Arabic alphabet and studying instrument flying rules, along with some household chores that I needed to get to. How about you??

| I'M GLAD TO SEE SOME FOLKS MUST BE CELEBRATING THE ARMENIAN CHURCH CALENDAR FOR CHRISTMAS 3 WEEKS AFTER THE WESTERN CELEBRATION. I THINK THE UNIQUE ASPECT OF CHRISTMAS MUSIC IS THE FOCUS ON THE INCARNATION - THE ENFLESHING - OF GOD IN CHRIST. THIS IS A KEY THEOLOGICAL DISTINCTIVE OF CHRISTIANITY. IT IS ALL ABOUT JESUS!
