Thy word [is] a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalms 119:105 KJV My favorite verse. My God is my lamp and the light for my path. I used to wonder what my calling was, what my gift was, and I finally realized that God just needs me to be available so he can light my path and lead me in the right direction and use me in the most beautiful ways. I met a wonderful lady named Brenda in Khols and we were destined to be each others confirmation in God's work for us. He always comes through big and speaks to us through the most unusual ways.
I am a teacher. I am really loving my job and loving interacting with students every day. I seem to get all of the naughty ones but that is okay, I have the patience to care for them and let them know they are special and they need to stay in school. I have also been blessed with really good mentor teachers and staff who are helping me become an efficient and organized teacher so I can spend more time with the kids and less on my organizational problems!
I am married, nearly 20 years, have two biological children (one living) and two bonus kids who needed homes so we moved them in too. All boys, its like a dog kennel of noise and wrestling. I also have five dogs, all tiny, and three cats, tiny too. Mostly rejects who knew I was the kind of sucker to spend a fortune getting them healthy, licensed and well-mannered. The animal shelter loves me and the last dog I brought home from there was a tiny taco mayo dog who was a biter and would have had to have been put to sleep so I adopted her and she has adjusted and loves everyone now.
UPDATE: One of my sons has left this earth 06-21-08 to be with his heavenly Father. His name is Tyler and he died suddenly from what we found out is commonly called "athletes heart" which is complications from having an enlarged heart. Tyler was an amazing 16 year old young man, he was in Football, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Weight Lifting, Drama, Choir, Youth and Government, and active with his church youth group. He loved everyone and had friends in every "click" in the high school and even befriended the "loners". He was incredibly special. We are setting up a foundation in his honor, "Heart of a Champion" to help underprivaleged children with extracurricular activities so they can find their passion and follow their dreams. I will post more as it develops. | | Interests | | Music | | Television News Junkie |
