I'm not a fame of TV Soap's, here a few words of rhyme The TV Soap... to some it called dope The daily fix.. It’s just half an hour Characters stereotyped... TV power Their image of love, is brainwashed in But in God word. Its know as sin Unlike other drugs it not as fast Unlike of drugs its affects continue to last Those tiny specks of rust, if not treated soon become lust The TV soap will clean your mind, in your eyes it will blind Blinding you in its imagery... make reality so much harder to see The TV soap... where life has its hope

Paper words they're flat and square, we speak but do we really care, its supposed to be conversation, not just a list of demands going upto administration. We often say to You we'll speak, and as we start we fall asleep. We come to You with our demands and never ask You about Your plans. Why is it that You seem so far away what do you expect with just 2 minutes each day

When I read the bible I think about the people and how they must feel in the situation. We forget sometime that these people lived in the moment, they didn't know how it was going to work out. Job, when you think about what he's gone through, he's just lost all his children, wealth and now he's cursed with sores from head to foot. Reading Job I am challenged that I don’t understand God at all really, but I know He loves me.
When I read chapter 2, two bits jumped out; firstly Jobs wife, who at first I thought was just mean...
2:9 And his wife said to him, Are you still keeping your righteousness? Say a curse against God, and put an end to yourself. 2:10 And he said to her, You are talking like one of the foolish women. If we take the good God sends us, are we not to take the evil when it comes? In all this Job kept his lips from sin.
but then thinking about it... she had just lost her children. It easy to see why she's so upset. Sometime the most annoying person is someone doing right when you’re struggling, that’s why when your doing right, often you'll get the most criticism. Thats what happend to Job.
The next, Jobs friends... 2:12 And lifting up their eyes when they were still far off, it did not seem that the man they saw was Job because of the change in him. And they gave way to bitter weeping, with signs of grief, and put dust on their heads.
these guys must have felt for Job, as they sat and wept. What really blow me away was, how bad Job condition must have been (v13),
2:13 And they took their seats on the earth by his side for seven days and seven nights: but no one said a word to him, for they saw that his pain was very great.
They sat for a WEEK and no one spoke. Although these guys got it so wrong later, I think they go this bit right. Sometime the best comfort is to just be there, not give advice, not talk. They (jobs friends) waited for him to talk first.
God is always with us, sometime maybe, He's waiting for us to talk first. God is perfect, if He's waiting for us to talk first... that because we need to!
Lord help me talk to you more...

The bible is it the word of God, or does it contain the word of God Can you pick and choose ? What happend when we decide which bits to believe
I believe the Bible, I believe the Bibles true .. well just about except for some of Gensis which is perhaps a little out, The virgin births a bit far fetched, and as for the resurrection, well that just leaves me perplexed, The bits about heaven, these MUST be fact, the bits about hell... perhaps are a little less exact, apart from that the bibles true every page through and through.

A little poem I wrote a long time ago, however I think it's still valid… The Tongue - James 3 3:5 Even so the tongue is a small part of the body, but it takes credit for great things. How much wood may be lighted by a very little fire! 3:6 And the tongue is a fire; it is the power of evil placed in our bodies, making all the body unclean, putting the wheel of life on fire, and getting its fire from hell. This little member in your head how often do you regret what you've said With this little sword you slice with the same you give advice 3:9 With it we give praise to our Lord and Father; and with it we put a curse on men who are made in God's image. 3:10 Out of the same mouth comes blessing and cursing. My brothers, it is not right for these things to be so. With the same voice you praise your brother, but then turn and say you hate another, There’s worst still yet to come, you turn and slash again at some, Then close your eyes you begin to pray and try and think of praises that you should say
3:13 Who has wisdom and good sense among you? let him make his works clear by a life of gentle wisdom. With this little sword you slice with the same you give advice This little member in your head, how often do you regret what you've said
The little member is all you've got; the tongue it seems is not a lot, But damage is done when you try and flirt, or turn in sarcastic tone to hurt So choose with care the words you say, and begin the life you should display ,
3:11 Doth the fountain send forth from the same opening sweet `water' and bitter? 3:12 Can a fig tree, my brethren, yield olives, or a vine figs? Neither `can' salt water yield sweet.
and shut your mouth when sarcastically you begin to speak and perhaps the gospel may again begin to reach
With this little sword you slice with the same you give advice This little member in your head, how often do you regret what you've said
