I found something in My Bible About Gossip and I wanted to Share it... Well In my bible there are little Devotion blog things about scriptures, like every four pages? And this Devotion stood out to me. It's on Proverbs 3:29-30
3:29 Devise not evil against thy neighbor, Seeing he dwelleth securely by thee. 3:30 Strive not with a man without cause, If he have done thee no harm.
3:29 Do not plot against your neighbor, who lives trustfully near you. 3:30 Do not accuse a man for no reason when he has done you no harm
Proverbs 3:29-30 NIV
What This girl, Megan[14 years old] did. She started gossiping at a slumber party one night about this girl that she hardly knew. The other girl found out and Megan lost the chance to ever be her friend. Megan thought she could make things right but the other girl never talked to her.
This is what Megan had to say: When I gossiped about this girl, I hurt her, and I hurt God too. God created each person in a special way. When we make fun of someone, it's like we're telling God, "That girl or guy isn't good enough for me." and how can we do that when that person is good enough for God?
