Man, it’s good to be back here again. I have sure missed ya’ll something fierce. Naw I aint been locked up and no my spirit aint dried up. I’ve just gotten involved in so many things lately that it has been hard to stay in touch. Nothing major, just little stuff around the trailer… painting, cleaning, building a hermit crab habitat, eating, etc. But it’s good to be back today. And I’ve noticed a buncha folks wanted me to write something. I gotta admit, off the top of my head I caint think of anything profound to say; so I’ll share a little story from a couple weeks ago.
So I had the satellite company send over some fella to hook up my new dish. He seemed sorta dry and was not real into talking, especially about Jesus or politics; but I could tell he was a smart dude cause he had one of them Blue Teeth ear thangs and a pocket protector for his pencil and screwdriver… I felt like I was in good hands, even though his personality was the equivalent of a long drive on the inter-state (all signs, no scenery). Since the conversation was moving slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter and he seemed like he wanted to get to work, I decided to go into the kitchen and fix me a tomater sandwich. When I returned he had this puzzled look on his face. Turns out all my hookups (VCR, DVD, Nintendo Wii, Digital Converter, XBOX, and Surround Sound) done got his cranial slinky in a kink. I reckon he wasn’t smarter than the average bear after all. Anyway, He figures he’d head outside and mess with the dish and come back in later to see if he could hook the rest up. So he did, and I went to the restroom (musta been the tomater sandwich.) I walked out of the bathroom only to notice the TV-man talking to Chase (my youngest) with a perplexed look on his face. He acted as if the cheese had slid off his cracker when I asked him what the problem was. Long story shorter, while he was outside, Chase went ahead and hooked all the stuff up to the tv in a matter of minutes, even had the dish up and runnin... just in time! We shook hands and the fella went on his way… and I been watching 200+ channels of glowing goodness ever since.
Thank goodness Chase was there! Aint that just the way God works sometimes? Sending folks into your life at just the right moment… someone who knows just what to do or say to ease the situation. I have to admit, I’ve found myself in a pickle a time or two… but God always sends folks like you good people on Mychurch to pick me up and dust me off. Just today I was feeling a little blue for no real reason at all… then I got a message from my brother BHEK. He just wanted to check on me and see how I was doing. Again, God sent someone at just the right time. So ya’ll keep lovin on each other and sharing the Good News, cause someone somewhere needs to hear it… just the right place at just the right time. Missed you guys, Love to all Rich
