I've seen a few blogs, over a period of time on MyChurch, about MyChurch members that meet in person. (I don't suppose there is a copyright on that topic--but I found the subject interesting) I think I even saw someone write that there were questions raised about MyChurch people being "real". As far as other MyChurch members--it would be fun, I'm sure, to "have a cup of coffee", as neighbors do-- but it's rather difficult to do since members are scattered around the world.
I know I'm a real person (ha) and I do know one other MyChurch member and she's real, too. LOL!
In 1995, I was running errands for/with my grandmother. I saw the headquarters for one of the candidates for governor and decided to stop by. I wanted information and to possibly volunteer to help, as time allowed. The lady in charge of the campaign headquarters was very helpful and accepted my offer to help--as my time allowed.
*This blog is not about the political party--I vote each time for the candidate I feel is the better one, regardless of party. So, I did not name candidate or party.
A few years later, because her husband's work required them to relocate, she and her husband moved to South Louisiana. I live in Central Louisiana. We've kept in touch through the years. Recently, she and her husband came to see me to offer advice concerning my flooding problems. In fact, they've been here twice over the past six months, I believe, both times to try to help figure out what needs to be done for proper drainage. I appreciate their effort very much. The problem is still not resolved since it is caused by highway construction project. *see my prayer request/blog
She and her husband invited me to go out to eat with them and I accepted. We had a really nice visit. I will enclose one photo of the two of us, below.

I posted a prayer and then noticed this verse of the day on MyChurch. I will add my prayer request as a blog since this verse is also fitting with the prayer request. It's been rough, I can tell you. I give HIM all the praise and glory for being My Father, My Savior, My EVERYTHING. I will post prayer request uner the verse of the day. James 4:6 is so in line with the entire Chapter 94 of Psalms.
4:6 But he gives more grace; therefore it says, "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble."

As many of you know, I have not been able to be active for a while. It's been a pure nightmare in several ways for me. I know my FATHER is in CHARGE and I'm holding firm onto that FACT. I took a step on FAITH today that could help in at least one of the long--drawn out--problems I've been having. I ask you to agree with me in prayer--with Numbers 6:24-26 and Psalms 94, the entire chapter in mind. Thanks and Blessings. I'm adding the Scriptures I mentioned below:

I think I've found a car of the future that I might consider, seriously!
It is a five seater, meaning you can carry passengers and/or more than one bag of groceries. Those two seat scooter types I've read about, wouldn't hold more than a small bag of groceries and the driver. I can't help but compare this to a two seat Triumph Spitfire I owned at one time. It was sporty and cute but no room at all!
If you don't live around the corner from a grocery store it wouldn't pay me to run back and forth to the store doing errands, one bag at a time. This environmentally friendly vehicle sounds better than any other one I've read about.
I love that it is roomy, simple, cheaper upkeep and initial PRICE is REASONABLE!
This car seems to offer great promise for the future, especially with the forced changes we face because of energy.
This five-seat car runs on compressed air, has zero pollution, very low running costs and will cost just over $5,000.
It runs 200 miles on compressed air before another fill-up is needed.

Well, more stuff can happen while you sittin' home, mindin' yore own business! Sure nuff! After my earthquake experience settled down a bit, wouldn't ya know something else was gonna happen, right on it's heels!
I waz sittin' here, right here at this here puter, AGAIN, mindin' my own business. I think I waz working on comments to MyChurch. All of a sudden, without any hint of trouble on the way, the puter, the puter screen, and the printer all just stopped! We wadn't having no storms or nuthin' that would even make me think what coulda happened. The lights overhead waz still on and that puzzled me even more. WHY would tha outlets go out and not tha lights???? So, the electricity waz still on.
Well, I quickly unplugged the surge thang and the whole mess a thangs plugged into the suge protecting thang and unplugged it from the outlet in the wall. Just couldn't imagine what in tha world could be going on! I went into another room, sho nuff, everthing in them wall sockets waz not working, but the lights overhead waz.
I looked up the 'lectrician's number, to ask him what waz likely the problem. I'd checked tha breaker box and nuttin was "thrown". I can tell you, I waz flat scurrying around, checking thangs. Seeing how many outlets, etc and other stuff waz affected.
When I picked up the telerphone to call that 'lectrician--wouldn't ya know tha phone waz out, too! Now, that really did concern me. I started gathering up tha vehicle keys, 'lectrician's number, purse, and all that stuff to go to a neighbor's house to call him. I waz thinkn', "I sure nuf am gonna git one a those phones that don't plug in".
'Bout that time, low and behold, ALL tha lights overhead and everthang in the house went off. Well, I'd never seen thangs go off in steps like that. First the outlets and then everthang, after a while. I waz right in the middle of gittin' that stuff together so I didn't have my flashlight handy. I knew where it waz, but couldn't seem to find tha thang when I needed it.
I waz praying for HELP and asking my Father to PLEASE not let something awful be going on, you know dangerous or expensive!
I felt my way around til I got into another room and got a flashlight there. Got my stuff and away I went, outside to git in the vehicle. Well, don't ya know, those highway men and machines were ever where! Tha 'lectric trucks waz, too!
One of tha highway men saw me out in tha yard lookin' to see what on earth waz going on! He came over and told me that one of them biggg old machines that waz diggin' dirt had touched the power line. They had called the 'lectric company. I told him how the puter just stopped and the overhead lights stayed on fer a while. I also told him my phone waz out, too.
When that machine first hit it, that musta been just nuff damage that it was when the outlets went out, but not affect tha overhead lights! The 'lectric company musta cut off the power to work on it. The whole transformer waz out! So, that waz when the overhead lights and ever thang else went out.
Well, when they got the power back on, tha highway man said to check and see that the puter came back on. I did check it and Praise Yah, it waz not damaged! But, tha phone waz STILL out.
I went to neighbor's and called tha phone company to report it. I also used neighbor's puter to write Grandmama's Love an email and asked her to please report it to tha phone company. I thank her for calling them, too. Tha highway man also reported it to tha phone company. Tha phone company told me on that thar recording (I hate that ya can't find a live person!) that it would be fixed in 2-3 days! That meant no phone or puter!
The next day, I waz putting out birdseed to feed the birds. Tha highway man came up and told me they waz tryin' to git my phone worked on. He waz on his cell phone talking to them right that minute. I thanked him for calling them, agin! Wadn't too long til the telephone company truck came and they started workin' on that and fixed it. PRAISE Yah!
Well, this waz another chapter in the ongoin' saga of my life and the happenings related to my experiences with construction of a highway! It's funny now, but, agin---like the earthquake thang--it shore wadn't funny then! I HOPE you enjoy and get a laugh with me! Laughter is good medicine!
All mistakes in grammer and spelling WAS INTENDED!
The other day, I waz at home, tending to my owwwnnnn business! I was sitting at my computer table, looking at something on the puter screen with a nice, hot cup of coffee on the desk.
Well, lo and behold, the desk started shakin', the puter started shakin', the speakers started shakin', and I felt the floor (and I have a concrete slab!) shakin'and even I felt like I waz vibratn' !!!!! I stood up and looked down at the coffee cup and sure nuff, the coffee was vibratn', too!!! Now, that was a weird feeling!
I don't drink and I don't do drugs, so I knew I wasn't spaced out or sumpin' like that! But I did know everything was sure shakin'. I went to my kitchen window and looked out to see what I could see. Didn't see a thang unusual. Didn't hear a thang out of usual, either! I did note one kitchen cabinet door was open that I sure nuff did not open myself!
Well, I sat back down at the puter and don't ya know, it started shakin' agin! Now, by this time I waz a mite skered!
I live in Louisiana and we don't have earthquakes. Well, I thought of the scriptures!
21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
Now, I'm not telling this in a disrespectful way, I really did think of this scripture!I had NEVER felt anything like this before!Well, I called a friend of mine that lives an hour or so away from me. This person has been all over the world involved with the oil industry--drilling in the ground--been in earthquake prone areas, etc.. I asked what they thought this could be. They didn't know either, except we agreed that Louisiana is near a "fault" line (I think it's around Arkansas or something) and that Louisiana usually does not have anything to to with feeling earthquakes.
But, I continued to notice short pauses and then vibrations. I continued to look out window and listen, could not see nor hear anything!
Well, I got to thinking about it. I NOTIFIED the EARTHQUAKE CENTER that lets you notify if you feel an earthquake. I filled out the form and told them I did not KNOW that it was an earthquake but something was sure going on and it was something I'd never experienced before! They gave a little wrap-up of my info afterwards and said "whatever" it was was equal to a 2 point something earthquake. OMG!!!!
Well, I started REALLY thinking then! Now mind you, I would not mind that the SAVIOR came, in fact, I would LOVE that. But, until HE does, I kinda like to be aware of what's going on.
They are doing road construction every where you look around here and I decided to call the foreman of the job and make they were not causing it. So, I called him. I told him that I knew it sounded crazy, but I just had to ask him something. I said, "Are you all doing anything on the road project that would have my house shaking?"
AND HE started laughing! We've had to talk a lot through this highway building ordeal, so he wasn't being rude. Well, he said for me to go outside and I would see in just a bit what was going on! Boy! About 5 minutes later here came this HUGE machine. They had to lower the current highway and that meant getting up the old concrete.
That machine was far enough away I could not see the machine nor hear it when it first started affecting my house and me when I'd looked out the window before.
Then that thar biiigggg old machine started pounding the concrete they are removing to build 2 or 3 new lanes over. Now, let me tell you, I THOUGHT the house was shaking before, but man, I want you to know I REALLY was concerned some things might fall off the wall once that thang got going right here in front of my house! Whew!
So, I wasn't going crazy, everything was shaking (AND I DO MEAN SHAKING), , it was not an earthquake (BUT now I know what a 2 pointer might feel like!), and the SAVIOR will come another day!
