Welcome to my page...

I heard someone say something to the effect that the Lord works on different people in different ways...that He suddenly, out of nowhere, lights a huge fire for some and for others He holds a small candle and then one day sets a torch ablaze within their hearts. It seems He did the latter for me. Looking back, I know that He and his protective angels were always there. There simply is no other explanation. He has seen me through a childhood home of addictions and mental illness which bred violence, neglect, and abuse. He saw me through an adolescent period where, of course, I started out a life of continuing the same horrible cycle...more addictions, violence, neglect, abuse, and some extremely bad choices (some of which exposed me to moments of life threatening danger) all followed by a fairly young pregnancy. Oh, but God is good and God is faithful! I can look back to see that God blessed me with a precious child to open my eyes to the idea that there must really be a God. Through motherhood and a lot of knocking on my hardened heart (and my hard head) He made me realize that it was time to break the familiar cycle of trying every worldly insta-fix out there. It was time to get serious about talking to Him, repenting of my sin, and accepting Him! In Jesus' name I cried out! I cried out so loud and long I fell to sleep from exhaustion. And when I awoke He showed me directly to the answer to my prayer. Thank You, Lord, for hearing my cry!

Psalm 3:3-5

But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head. I cried to the Lord with my voice, And He heard me from His holy hill. Selah I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustained me.
