Hello everyone! My name is Amy. Iam 37 years old. My husbands name is Patrick and we were married in December 1994. We have 4 wonderful children. A daughter named Brandi, and 3 sons( Joseph,Jacob, and John.) I enjoy scrapbooking, cross-stitching and spending time with my family. Family has always been very important to me. Maybe because I come from such a large family. My grandparents were married 74 years! They had 9 kids, 35 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and 6 great greats! Patrick and I enjoy spending time with our kids. One of the things we like is something we call "Family Night." We get a good movie, turn all the lights out and eat popcorn and candy. Patrick coaches my son and his football team! We became members of Crossroad Christian Church in March of 2003. We joined the jail ministry in 2004. We both love this ministry. I love sharing the love an mercy of Jesus Christ with anyone who will listen to me! My favorite verse is Psalm 91:1-4. It says " He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. Surely He will save you from the fowlers snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge, His faithfulness will be your sheild and rampart. This verse means so much to me, because in February 2005 I went thru a very serious depression. Every day I went outside to read my Bible and to pray. Alot of tears were shed too. But I read this verse one day and it was like it just jumped off the pages at me and I just claimed it from that time on! A couple days before the womens retreat in 2005, i was outside praying and I talked to to the Lord about being underneath His wings, and I thought "If I could just see a feather....." Well the next morning I was walking thru my livingroom and there on the floor was a feather!! So I picked it up and ran to show Patrick. Well then doubts started coming. I thought it might have come from a pillow, etc. The next day I went out to my chair in my yard where I pray and read my Bible.  As I approached , there in the grass next to the foot of my chair was a big, soft, white feather!! I guess the Lord thought " ok, how do you like this one, now dont doubt anymore!" I still have it! I guess because of what I went thru, I really have a heart for those who are suffering with depression. My heart just aches for them,because I know how it feels. But I also know that we have the most wonderful Heavenly Father, who NEVER leaves us, and whose mercy and love we cannot comprehend. People may and probly will let us down, but God is faithful. There is no friend like Him. His mercy endures forever! HALLELUJAH!!! He is Jehovah Shalom! God bless all my brothers and sisters out there.
