My Mother used to say to me “When you have Christ in you, you should show some sign of him.” That is why on great days and not so great days I try to keep a smile on my face.
So simple, right?
Sometimes I forget until I see others reaction to me. Some will ask am I OK or tell me they come in my direction to share a laugh or see what I am doing. I even experience older persons at work say they just wanted to stop by to see my smile. I give hugs too. I keep a mirror on my desk now to shoot a smile sometimes in my own direction. Smiling to other Christians should be easy for Christians.
For those that it may not be easy for, here is a short message that I hope helps. Psalm 67:1-2 (New King James Version) 1 God be merciful to us and bless us, Andcause His face to shine upon us, Selah 2 That Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.
God created you and me in His image and His likeness. I believe Psalm 67:1-2 explains He smiles at us. And so He made you and me able to smile.Just think how much we can brighten our lives if we just smiled at one another, earnestly. That a smile just may be all the “God” that someone may experience that day. Or, for a new convert who is facing a new trial. Or, for an elder in the community store or park. Or, just to greet others in the church house.
All I am asking is today connect with a few people just by smiling. Show your teeth or some dimples. If you are cut off in traffic, the cashier gives bad service, the juveniles at like juveniles, or no one has a smile at church. You do it. Give them a smile that says, ‘God Love You and So do I!”

Being a Voting Christian.
It is not easy to find a scripture pertaining to voting or registering to vote. There are many passages that speak to us praying for those in authority over us.
1 Timothy 2:1-2 (Pray for All People) 1 First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.
Romans 13:1-7 (Submission to the Authorities) 1 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, 4 for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. 7 Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.
To vote; is this a personal, ethical, or spiritual choice? For me it’s all of these and I only mean it for the good of the world we currently live in.
