I'm just a guy trying to understand what it means to walk with Jesus. I want to be a good husband, father, grandfather, disciple and mentor. I am the pastor of a Baptist church where I attempt to journey with others who are also learning what following Jesus is all about.
I'm married to a beautiful and wonderful woman who has taught me more about the love of Christ than anyone I've ever met. We have two terrific children who are married and on their own. And we have three grandsons who really love their grandfather (totally unbiased opinion).
One of my passions is fly fishing. I can't really understand why anyone would waste good fishing time on golf.

Hello there, We missed church due to the time change. I had an emergency apendectomy (sp?) this week. It was gangrenous(sp?) and I was amazed that I left work much less went to the hospital. Besides having six inches worth of staples in my side I am great. My parents drove up to help.
God gave me comfort through the entire ordeal, He placed me in room 7 at the emergency room and when they did I knew there would be nothing to worry about.
