Hi you! Some of you may know me, some may not, but I consider you all my precious and deeply loved family. Please, if you need prayer or someone to listen, send me a prayer request by email, text message, phone call...no matter what time of day or form of contact. God is always always there for you, and when you just need that human touch, I'm here as well. May Mercy, Peace, & Love be yours in abundance (Jude 1:2)
So my story, well I always grew up hearing things here and there about God. My mom would always get mad at me and my sister if we said "Oh my God". But it was never apart of our everyday lives, or even every Sunday. But my family would try out churches every once in awhile, but never really found a church home. My Dad has always been a man of science and was never really interested. But my mom and I decided to keep checking things out. When I was in 8th grade, we eventually ended up at a nondenominational church here in Las Vegas, being held at Durango High School at the time. Me and my mom liked it and would go almost every Sunday. I met and became close friends with the youth group there (which included my now boyfriend, Ryan, of 5 years :o). Soon, I became so close with a great group of people: Mark, Max, & Alexis Gabriel, Mike, Lynn, & Spike Tomlan, Ryan, Kathy, & John Omlie, Chaz Longo (who now all go to VBF as well!), and several more who I still have a close relationship with. Through the years my Dad would seem somewhat interested and would come every once in awhile. And my sister would be involved in youth group with me quite a bit. However, it seemed sometime around the end of my Sophomore or beginning of my Junior year in high school, I realized that there was just something not right with the church philosophy and leaders. It wasn't just me either. We all started to search for a new church home. It was hard for a couple years because for almost 5 years we had been at the same church, same great family, and really for most of us, it was where we started our spiritual journey. Most of us weren't sure where to even look or what to look for. We tried the International Church of Las Vegas, and The Crossing, and others to names to name a few. Even though we enjoyed the services, something was still missing. Then one day, almost three years ago, Lynn Tomlan was invited to Valley Bible by a friend. I still remember Lynn ranting and raving to us about "this is our new church guys! this is it". Well you can imagine....we LOVED it! However, let's back up a bit. During the last year at our old church, a lot of things happened. I was baptized for the first time, and, sadly, my mom gave up on God. But these two have and will end in His victory......more coming soon. | InterestsI love my Shih-poo & Shih-tzu | | Movies | | Music | | Books | | Television |
