I am married to Alan, a Church of the Brethren pastor who is currently a chaplain at a secular, not for profit nursing home and rehabilitation center. We met at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL while he was earning his M.Div. and I was earning my Master's of Theological Studies in Church History (missions) and have been together ever since.
I currently work part time as an AVID tutor for 7th through 12th graders at our public Jr./Sr. high school. It is a college prep. program and is a very rewarding job. I enjoy working while my kids are in school and having the same vacations and off days that they have!
I am also the mother of 2 kids, Amanda and Jesse.
My interests are: Reading (both fiction and non fiction), watching my kids activities, watching professional baseball (Go, Cubs!), baking, and walking.

Wow, Brenda -- thank you so much for the birthday greeting! I always felt special having a nice spring month for my birthday while my brother's was in March. May is a great time for birthdays, so I had 2 myself in May. Stephanie's is also May 2 and Christopher's is May 30!
