I believe God has called all of us to do great things, and He has given us this wonderful body to achieve those things. Yet after years of abusing, and neglecting ourselves, we find ourselves in a situation that sometimes seems hopeless. I am so glad that I know the truth, and it has set me free, and I believe it will do the same for all of us. Truth is something that I believe has to be revealed by the spirit, and that is why I think we struggle so much with our weight and physical appearance.

If we really knew what we were made for, I believe none of us would find ourselves in the places we are today. We seldom give God enough credit for the wonderful creation He made. We need to learn to love and appreciate ourselves, as much as God does. I know I am still over weight, but I really believe that God is revealing to me the keys to not only loose the weight, but to be ME, exactly the way he created me. That means I might not ever be a size one, I was not made to be a size one! He is revealing the truth to me, healthy does not always equal the worlds standards of skinny.

Healthy is being complete, mentally, spiritually, and physically. I believe there is so much more to being over weight than just what you eat, or how little you exercise. In this group I pray that God reveals the truth to all of us, and I believe that ALL of us will be set FREE in Jesus name. I hope you will come into this group with the mind set that this is not some fad diet, or crazy weight loss scheme, but it is a place that you can come in and open up your heart, and feel safe to let down your guard. We all have issues with weight, and food, and exercise, and motivation, and it all stems from somewhere.

We are here to be open to one another, and to encourage one another in this life change. We will have a weekly weigh in, and a monthly measurement. Then we will have a time to share about our week, and our mountains and valleys. We will partner up monthly with different people, and those will be your “aeio”. The word aeio is a Greek word that means, transparent friend. This aeio will be there for you, and you for them, and that will be the person for that month that you are completely transparent with, meaning that you can tell all, and nothing will be judged or repeated. Feel free to share ideas, work out together, have meals together, or just be that rock that we all need at times.
