That the end is in sight is not even debatable.
Today's interesting read, below an extract from The Omega Letter
The North Koreans have already agreed to abandon their nuclear program in exchange for huge bribes and concessions from the West. Again, with a big "if" -- IF Pyongyang really DOES intend to dump its nukes, then this would be a doubly-profitable way to do so.So, while all the various scenarios are scary, the North Korean angle is the scariest. And I don't mind admitting that this scares me.I would imagine that some of you are scared, too, and don't want to admit it to yourselves or anybody else, because you think it indicates a lack of faith.Oh, I try not to let it scare me, too. I spend hours and hours every single day of the week sifting through evidence that tells me that all these things must come to pass. I know that as each new puzzle piece falls into place, it means the Rapture grows that much closer.I am certain that the Bible is true, that the promises of Scripture will be fulfilled to the letter, that those prophetic promises are proof positive that God remains on the Throne, that Jesus is making preparations for His return, and that no matter what happens here, I will spend eternity in heaven. The Omega Letter

| Mike n Laura’s blog : A new perspective on the log in my eye is probably exactly what I needed to read this morning. I never cease to be amazed by the work of the Holy Spirit. The section in the blog that jumped out at a me : What is it about judging others that's so evil? It's the companion belief that we ourselves are more righteous, we're just fine by ourselves, we're complete in our own strength, superior and self-sufficient. The truth is God designed us with a need to rely on others, first him, then other people. Ever tried moving a log alone? Recently I rightly or wrongly, became aware of some animosity/dislike towards me from fellow Christian/s. Although I have thought long and hard about what the cause could be, I am still at a loss. In light of me being a very forgiving person, I detest atmospheres and would really love anyone who is aware of my ‘plank’ to discuss and help me with this so that the problem may be resolved. Failing to do so is tantamount to deceit and theft! However, to keep the balance, I must say that God has particularly blessed me with a feeling of his love and nearness today. Blessings to all fellow disciples of Christ out there.

Yes, we can make a difference.
1 JOHN 2:15 NAS Change your world
John writes, "Do not love the world." But what does that mean? First, let's look at what it doesn't mean. It doesn't mean being so heavenly minded that you're no earthly use. Loving the Lord more doesn't mean loving those around you less; or feeling awkward around them; or losing touch with them; or not knowing how to communicate with them; or alienating them by giving off signals that you are somehow Spiritually superior to them. If "we have the mind of Christ" (1 Co 2:16) shouldn't we be as attractive to a lost world as Jesus was?As the world of finance, politics, education and entertainment, etc. gets more off track, we have two choices: condemn it or influence it! Become what we're supposed to be - light! It's the end of the game and Jesus, the head coach, is calling His best players onto the field. Isaiah the prophet spoke into the lives of kings. The three Hebrew children changed the politics of Babylon. Joseph the economist saved Egypt from famine.Yes, Satan is at work taking Christ out of Christmas, prayer out of schools, and God out of government. But he won't win, and he knows it. His strategy, however, is to convince you that he can win. He doesn't want you to see the real battle between light and darkness. He doesn't want you to feel a sense of urgency and personal responsibility. But the God who promised to "crush Satan under your feet" is raising up an army of Spirit-empowered believers who will demonstrate what it's like to live in a different kingdom. Will you be part of His army? SoulFood Reading: Rev 19-22, Matt 17:1-13, Ps 132:11-18, Pr 13:7-8 Copyright 2007 Radio Pulpit Visit our webpage at www.radiopulpit.co.za

| Beware: enemy attacks in cyberspaceLieutenant General Robert Elder, senior Air Force officer for cyberspace issues, recently joked that North Korea “must only have one laptop” to make the more serious point that every potential adversary – except Pyongyang – routinely scans US computer networks. North Korea may be impotent in cyberspace, but its neighbour is not. The Chinese military sent a shiver down the Pentagon’s spine in June by successfully hacking into an unclassified network used by the top policy advisers to Robert Gates, the defence secretary. While the People’s Liberation Army has been probing Pentagon networks hundreds of times a day for the past few years, the US is more alarmed at the growing frequency and sophistication of the attacks. The Pentagon spent several months deflecting the recent onslaught before the PLA penetrated its system, which was shut down for more than a week for diagnosis. While officials are concerned that it downloaded information, they are more concerned about the strategic ramifications. “The PLA has demonstrated the ability to conduct attacks that disable our system and the ability in a conflict situation to re-enter and disrupt on a very large scale,” said a former official, who added that the PLA has also penetrated the networks of US defence companies and think-tanks. One senior US official said there was “no doubt” that China was now monitoring email traffic on unclassified government networkshttp://www.prophecynewswatch.com

| New 3D terrain model could help resolve debate surrounding Noah's Ark locationIn cooperation with GeoEye and INTA Space Turk, Satellite Imaging Corporation has created a 3D representation of the mysterious Mt. Ararat anomaly, located in northeastern Turkey. The creation of the 3D Flythrough movie was made possible with the use of Stereo IKONOS Satellite image data and 5m DEM extracted from the image data. "This new 3D terrain model will provide researchers with an engaging new perspective, which could help to resolve an intense geopolitical and religious debate as to whether or not the anomaly could prove to be the remains of Noah's Ark." The anomaly itself, which lies surrounded by rugged strato-volcanic rock at the northwestern corner of Mt. Ararat's western plateau, is over 980 feet long, and sits mostly buried underneath a permanent glacier. It first drew attention due to its relatively smooth surface texture, as well as its unusual physical composition. The site occupied by the anomaly, which is located at 15,300 feet above sea level, remains unexplored. The application of satellite images and aerial photographs for the identification and analysis of historical and archaeological sites, which made this research possible, was first recognized during the early days of aviation. According to David Buehner, production manager at Satellite Imaging Corporation, 'Satellite and aerial imagery is now available from an array of aircraft and high resolution satellite borne sensors to provide even greater potential for research and investigation of historical discoveries.' http://www.prophecynewswatch.com
