"For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. "
1 Corinthians 1:1 Paul, called by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus, and our brother Sos'thenes,
1 Corinthians 1:2 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all those who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:
1 Corinthians 1:3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 1:4 I give thanks to God always for you because of the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus,
1 Corinthians 1:5 that in every way you were enriched in him with all speech and all knowledge--
1 Corinthians 1:6 even as the testimony to Christ was confirmed among you--
1 Corinthians 1:7 so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift, as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ;
1 Corinthians 1:8 who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:10 I appeal to you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree and that there be no dissensions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.
1 Corinthians 1:11 For it has been reported to me by Chlo'e's people that there is quarreling among you, my brethren.
1 Corinthians 1:12 What I mean is that each one of you says, "I belong to Paul," or "I belong to Apol'los," or "I belong to Cephas," or "I belong to Christ."
1 Corinthians 1:13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?
1 Corinthians 1:14 I am thankful that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Ga'ius;
1 Corinthians 1:15 lest any one should say that you were baptized in my name.
1 Corinthians 1:16 (I did baptize also the household of Steph'anas. Beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized any one else.)
1 Corinthians 1:17 For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
1 Corinthians 1:18 For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians 1:19 For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the cleverness of the clever I will thwart."
1 Corinthians 1:20 Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
1 Corinthians 1:21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.
1 Corinthians 1:22 For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom,
1 Corinthians 1:23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles,
1 Corinthians 1:24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
1 Corinthians 1:25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
1 Corinthians 1:26 For consider your call, brethren; not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth;
1 Corinthians 1:27 but God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong,
1 Corinthians 1:28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are,
1 Corinthians 1:29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God.
1 Corinthians 1:30 He is the source of your life in Christ Jesus, whom God made our wisdom, our righteousness and sanctification and redemption;
1 Corinthians 1:31 therefore, as it is written, "Let him who boasts, boast of the Lord."

Before you experience a personal relationship with God everything is about you and your way…but after you meet Him for yourself your life changes, nothing is the same you look at things in a totally different light. Before my relationship it was just that I have a relationship with Him it’s serious to me. It’s about His will and His way…Oh Lord everyday is a struggle for real!!! No I'm not perfect, yes I make mistakes and pray for 2nd 3rd 4th and 5th chances to get it right...I’m just trying make it to my Father’s house!!!

All around us people are perishing, to them we who are saved are fools. We read the word and God speaks to us. They read the word like it is just another book. Many times they read the word and they become believers, we need to share with them so they too can have a spiritual awakening. Would you walk past someone in need of emergency care with out administering first aid or calling an ambulance. Did you ever stop to think that if you were used to reach 2 people a year for Christ who in turn reached 2 a year and they all did the same, in 30 years the saved would number in the billions! Ask God to use you for his glory. Pray for those around you. Share with others what Christ has done for you. Keep this in mind when you share; God does the saving, not me. I believe for every person that is saved there is a different testimony as to how it happened. To God be the glory!

Jesus was hang on the cross for us to be saved. Therefore it is our previlage to accept christ us our lord and personal saviour. As the word of God said the message on the cross is foolish for those that are perishing but good to those that have christ.Accept Jesus today and u will have enternal life.

In this verse, Paul is pointing out the simple truth of God's wisom vs. proud and arrogance of those who have not accepted Him as Savior and Lord. What sadness this brings to us when we wish we could get others to understand and value God's redemptive presence in our lives. It takes humility and godly sorrow to follow God.

the dead is gone for us that are still here we have to pick up the cross and carry it for christ gave his life for us on the cross so why can't we do trhe same by his mercy and grace he save us, so let try to go out and help to save a crying soul today your ,mom sister or brother or just a friend let them know that we love them and GOD love them too.

The message of the cross is foolish to others who have not experienced the life changing power is brings to the believer. For without the cross we have nothing; no direction, no strength to endure trials, no long-lasting joy, to future, no grace, no second chances and still loved unconditionally, and much more. The Good News of the cross is life. Praise the Lord for His redeeming love. My prayer today is that God allows me the privilege today to share His grace with someone else; to show them the true power of the cross.

Never underestimate the POWER of GOD!

Today scripture is misquoted , (( being saved ..WRONG !!
When we come to the Lord Jesus Christ , we at that very moment are
1 Corinthians 1:18 (King James Version)
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

In other words if YAHWEH/GOD doesn't make sense to you then that simply means you are dying. For those of us who walk daily in HIS ways and live for HIM as we have been saved by HIS Son YEHOSHUA-CHRIST, it is power to us...AMEN ! What a word....

True then and true today....

Never underestimate the power of GOD.

Nothing can compare with the Power of God.

It is the power of God to enlighten our hearts and direct our ways in the mid of this troubled generation.

God is good

It is therefore in our place to make known to them the joy in serving the Lord and also save their souls.

Thank you Jesus!
