1 Corinthians 13:1 |

"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
"
|
1 Corinthians 13:1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
1 Corinthians 13:2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:5 it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;
1 Corinthians 13:7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:8 Love never ends; as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.
1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; when I became a man, I gave up childish ways.
1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall understand fully, even as I have been fully understood.
1 Corinthians 13:13 So faith, hope, love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

I love this! God loves us unconditionally and we as his children should strive to love our mates, family and friends that way. It isn't easy and pretty much impossible for us humans, but something to strive for. Love forgives.............. |

1 Cor.13 reveals to us the standard we are tohave in our heart, God's Love: Love is patient, love is kind, love is ready to think the best of everybody. EVERYBODY! (LORD BUT!, NO BUTS!!!) If we are truly going to follow in our LORDS step as we are called then there may be some "death to our self" (No question about it!) |

Thank you for having the ability to speak the languages of men and even of angels, but do you have Love? Your gift of inspired preaching is wonderful, but do you have Love? You have all knowledge and you can understand all secrets, but do you have Love? You have all the faith to move mountains, but doyou have Love? I may give away everything i have and even give away my body to be burn't, but if i have no love, this does me no good. |

So many of us need to express and show love to our fellow man. all we really need is love, as simple as this may sound but it true. Love is so powerful that it covers a multitude of sin. |

1 Corinthians 13: 4 Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful;
5 it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;
6 it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right.
7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
8 Love never ends; as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.
9 For our knowledge is imperfect and our prophecy is imperfect;
10 but when the perfect comes, the imperfect will pass away.

This is my all time favorite bible verse. I believe, at least for me, it says it all,
1 Corinthians 13
1 Corinthians 13:1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
1 Corinthians 13:2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful;
1 Corinthians 13:5 it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;
1 Corinthians 13:6 it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right.
1 Corinthians 13:7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:8 Love never ends; as for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away.
1 Corinthians 13:9 For our knowledge is imperfect and our prophecy is imperfect;
1 Corinthians 13:10 but when the perfect comes, the imperfect will pass away.
