"But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him," "
1 Corinthians 2:1 When I came to you, brethren, I did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God in lofty words or wisdom.
1 Corinthians 2:2 For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
1 Corinthians 2:3 And I was with you in weakness and in much fear and trembling;
1 Corinthians 2:4 and my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
1 Corinthians 2:5 that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.
1 Corinthians 2:6 Yet among the mature we do impart wisdom, although it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are doomed to pass away.
1 Corinthians 2:7 But we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glorification.
1 Corinthians 2:8 None of the rulers of this age understood this; for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
1 Corinthians 2:9 But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him,"
1 Corinthians 2:10 God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.
1 Corinthians 2:11 For what person knows a man's thoughts except the spirit of the man which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might understand the gifts bestowed on us by God.
1 Corinthians 2:13 And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who possess the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 2:14 The unspiritual man does not receive the gifts of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
1 Corinthians 2:15 The spiritual man judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one.
1 Corinthians 2:16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

This is the verse that led my husband to the Lord and has changed his life in the most profound indescribable way! Praise God for His LIVING word!

Praise God!!! He is so awesome!!!!

Ever heard the saying, "The best is yet to come", well for the child of God this statement is profoundly true!! The God of the universe is preparing, for us who know Jesus as Lord, in heaven such wonderful things that mankind has not even thought of! Now that is exciting stuff!!
So next time we get discouraged with this fallen world we live in, lets remember this verse and take heart to carry on for Jesus another day, because one day soon it is going to be so much better when we are face to face with Christ for all eternity!! :)

we are looking forward to the things God has in store for us

We are not alone through everyday trials. The Holy Spirit will help guide us through each and every day. He gives us hope in each new day. God gives us the courage to press on through hardships. This world is not all there is. The best is yet to come.

This verse always makes me think of the song "I Can Only Imagine". Yesterday was my grandmas second birthday in Heaven, so yesterday thoughts of Heaven came to mind more often, what it will be like to be standing in the prescence of Jesus, praising him for all eternity.....I Can Only Imagine :)

For He is able to do exceedingly abudndantly above all that we could ask or think according to the power that works within us! Ephesians 3:20

There are only little glimpses that God has given to us about what heaven will be like. The most beautiful nature preserves we have will likely appear to be like sewage dumps compared to the grandeur there. The finest sounding music we have now will likely seem like static compared to the heavenly chorus. We are promised new bodies, we will need them. I don't think our present bodies could withstand the pleasure God has prepared for us. We just do not have the ability to conceive in our hearts the promises he has in store for us. He does promise us that those of us who are in Christ will be there in a twinkling of an eye when our physical bodies die. Think of it, a twinkle is faster than a blink. There are those who try to be good so they can get to heaven. Makes perfect commonsense to most of us, right? The truth is we are not saved by works, but by God's grace. In order to have the gift of eternal life we need Jesus Christ. A gift is not something we work for, it's a gift, usually something we don't deserve. In Christ we live a new life, that life includes good works, not by our own strength, but through his strength. Unless he opens your eyes it is imposable for you to understand all of this, you need to ask. Try to do this with humility. Say to a God who you don't yet believe is there, that you can't see, feel or hear. Maybe you are resisting him, because after all if there is a god why all the pain and suffering in the world? Try to set that aside and say " God I don't know what this is all about right now, can you please reveal yourself to me?" Ask him with humility to show you just what Jesus death and resurrection means. Recognize that you have sinned and ask him to forgive you. He will. You can't possibly understand what he has in store for you in this life and the one to come when you accept him as Lord and Savior.

todays verse uplifted me

I Love Him, I Love Him, I Love Him and I can't wait for mine to get here.

1 Corinthians 2:9

However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen,
no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived
what God has prepared for those who love him."
I still cannot imagine all that God has in store for us, both in this life and for eternity. He will create a new heaven and a new earth (Isaiah 65:17, Revelation 21:1), and we will live with him forever.
Until then, his Holy Spirit comforts and guides us. Knowing the wonderful and eternal future that awaits us gives us hope and courage to press on in this life, to endure hardship, and to avoid giving in to temptation. This world is not all there is. The best is yet to come.

But as it is written,
Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man,
the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (Is 64:4)

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.1 Corinthians 2:9-13
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him (Is 40:13,But we have the mind of Christ.

Give the Lord a little of your time today. He loves you. He wants to spend time with you.

In these uncertain time, this is so good to know. Knowing that God loves me and that I can't fathom what He has prepared for me, helps me to REST in HIM.

We cannot imagine what God has in store for those who love Him.

The Apostle Paul is telling the Corinthian believers that God has made known to them His wisdom, a wisdom that had been hidden from before time began. This wisdom was not understood by the rulers of the day. He then goes on to quote an Old Testament scripture from Isaiah 64:4. In this scripture, Paul is telling us that in our human wisdom we cannot understand the things that God has prepared for those who love Him, BUT praise God, the Spirit of God has revealed those things to us! No longer do we need to walk in ignorance but we can know the mind of God for our lives. What are the things that God has prepared for us? They are not just things concerning our future glory. No, God has revealed all the riches of His grace to us in the person of His Son Jesus Christ. It is the Spirit within us who penetrates the deep things of God and reveals them to us. Verse 12 tells us that we have received the Spirit of God that we may understand what God has freely given us. A reading of Ephesians1 will show us the abundant blessings that God has given us in Christ Jesus. Paul tells the Corinthians, and us, that we have the mind of Christ!! Does that not blow your mind?? The depths of God are to be plummeted...there is so much for us to understand about God that we could never exhaust the knowledge of Him! Let us read and study the Word of God and enter into the wisdom of God.

God's word is true and He is my everything!!!

This scripture, along with the next verse, lays it out plain and simple. No one person has the capacity to understand, however knowledgeable and intellectual they may seem, to discern the things of the kingdom of God with a carnal mind. People making the argument that God does not exist tend to get unusually uncomfortable with their statements when this scripture and the one following are brought to the table. Praise God for His making the foolishness of God beyond the intellect of mankind.
