"Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, and patience, "
Colossians 3:1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Colossians 3:2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.
Colossians 3:3 For you have died, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
Colossians 3:5 Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: fornication, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.
Colossians 3:6 On account of these the wrath of God is coming.
Colossians 3:7 In these you once walked, when you lived in them.
Colossians 3:8 But now put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and foul talk from your mouth.
Colossians 3:9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old nature with its practices
Colossians 3:10 and have put on the new nature, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.
Colossians 3:11 Here there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcised and uncircumcised, barbarian, Scyth'ian, slave, free man, but Christ is all, and in all.
Colossians 3:12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, and patience,
Colossians 3:13 forbearing one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Colossians 3:14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, and sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Colossians 3:18 Wives, be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
Colossians 3:19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.
Colossians 3:20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
Colossians 3:21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.
Colossians 3:22 Slaves, obey in everything those who are your earthly masters, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing the Lord.
Colossians 3:23 Whatever your task, work heartily, as serving the Lord and not men,
Colossians 3:24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you are serving the Lord Christ.
Colossians 3:25 For the wrongdoer will be paid back for the wrong he has done, and there is no partiality.

This is one I've been reading and praying about a lot lately...praying that God will help me to live in that manner and apply those characteristics to every area of my life.

Not possible without the Holy Spirit that opens understanding to us. Not possible without the Holy Spirit that pours out Gods peace that surpasses all understanding. All things are possible through Christ Jesus. All things are possible with God.

Lord anyone reading this who is struggling with their old nature, we pray that you bestow upon them the power of the resurrected Christ today. That your Holy Ghost power will come upon them so that they will walk in your ways and show the fruits of the spirit in their lives. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen

LIVING THE LIFE:
What a wonderful verse this is! Do you see yourself as 1.)Chosen by God? 2.)Holy? 3.)Dearly loved? That friends, is what we are in the sight of God!! We read in 1 Peter 2:9 that we are a 'chosen people'! If you are a Christian, then you have been chosen by God! We are also Holy - we might not feel it sometimes, but God sees us as His' holy' one, set apart for divine service. And, if you are feeling that you are not loved, then the truth of God's Word tells us that we are 'Dearly loved'. Never doubt God's love for you! His love for you is an everlasting love.
What then should be our response to such blessings? Paul tells us in vs.5 to put to death whatever belongs to your earthly nature.....and then in vs 12 he tells us to 'clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience'. These are the characteristics that should be evident in us if we call ourselves Christians. We need to show those, with whom we rub shoulders, just what God is like. Jesus displayed all these qualities as He walked this earth, and so we need to follow in His footsteps. We might be the only Bible some people read!

AS THE KING'S CHOSEN REPRESENTATIVES IN THE EARTH, THERE ARE CERTAIN VIRTUES WE MUST BE CLOTHED WITH, CERTAIN CHARACTER TRAITS WE MUST POSSESS AND CORE VALUES THAT UNDER GIRD OUR SPIRIT. HE TOLD US TO CLOTHED OURSELVE AS HIS BELOVED WHO SHOULD BE HOLY AS HE IS HOLY. WE MUST COMPASSIONATE SHOW MERCY EVEN TO THE MERCILESS, KINDNESS,WHICH IS SELFLESSNESS, LOWLINESS, WHICH IS HUMILITY,MEEKNESS, IS A QUIET SPIRIT AND PATIENCE. ALL THESE KINGDOM VIRTUES, ARE TREASURES WE MUST PURSUE AND POSSESS. I NEED ME ALL OF THESE IN EVER INCREASING MEASURE DAILY.HELP US ALL HOLY SPIRIT.

The WORD of GOD is our Blueprint for living, this why we need to read GOD'S WORD DAILY or else we will not be able to recognize the VOICE of GOD as HE speaks to us, AMEN.

Amen..Perfect for my situation....

I thank God for teaching and guiding me.

Everyday I have this thought in my mind... although I may not act on it as I should... I really try hard. God is the most amazing....

We all need to work on this scipture-AMEN

The apostle Paul writes: “Clothe yourselves with ... mildness,” which, superficially read, might seem to indicate that it is somewhat of a veneer for mere outward appearance; but in the same context he admonishes: “Clothe yourselves with the new personality, which through accurate knowledge is being made new according to the image of the One who created it.” (Col 3:10,12; Eph 4:22-24) This shows that mildness is indeed a personality trait, primarily gained as a fruit of God’s spirit through accurate knowledge and application thereof, rather than just naturally inherited
However, because of inherited imperfection, we are not born lowly in mind. (Psalm 51:5) This quality must be learned. And this may be difficult for those not taught Jehovah’s ways from childhood but who accept them later in life. They have already formed personalities based on this old world’s attitudes. So they have to learn to “put away the old personality which conforms to [their] former course of conduct” and to “put on the new personality which was created according to God’s will in true righteousness and loyalty.” (Ephesians 4:22, 24) With God’s help sincere ones can do what he asks of them: “Clothe yourselves with the tender affections of compassion, kindness, lowliness of mind, mildness, and long-suffering.”—Colossians 3:12.
The disciples of Jesus had to learn that. They were adults when they became his disciples and had a measure of the worldly spirit of rivalry in them. When the mother of two of them sought prominence for her sons, Jesus said: “The rulers of the nations lord it over [the people] and the great men wield authority over them. This is not the way among you; but whoever wants to become great among you must be your minister, and whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave. Just as the Son of man [Jesus] came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and to give his soul a ransom in exchange for many.” (Matthew 20:20-28) When Jesus told his disciples not to use titles to try to elevate themselves, he added: “All you are brothers.”—Matthew 23:8.
A true follower of Jesus is a servant, yes, a slave to fellow Christians. (Galatians 5:13)

there's another verse i'd love to share, and the msg is similar to this one.
Ephesians 4: 2-3: Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.

Psalms 30.5 is my favorite

"I can do all things through Christ that strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13

amen
