"Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Look to yourself, lest you too be tempted. "
Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Look to yourself, lest you too be tempted.
Galatians 6:2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:3 For if any one thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.
Galatians 6:4 But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor.
Galatians 6:5 For each man will have to bear his own load.
Galatians 6:6 Let him who is taught the word share all good things with him who teaches.
Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Galatians 6:8 For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart.
Galatians 6:10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
Galatians 6:11 See with what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand.
Galatians 6:12 It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh that would compel you to be circumcised, and only in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.
Galatians 6:13 For even those who receive circumcision do not themselves keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may glory in your flesh.
Galatians 6:14 But far be it from me to glory except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
Galatians 6:15 For neither circumcision counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.
Galatians 6:16 Peace and mercy be upon all who walk by this rule, upon the Israel of God.
Galatians 6:17 Henceforth let no man trouble me; for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus.
Galatians 6:18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen.

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you.
(Jeremiah 29:11-12)

Galatians 6:18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen.

Galatians 6:8 For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Amen

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that you put on the new man, which after GOD is created in righteousness and true holiness. Ephesians 4:23,24

Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

Why are you commenting on a verse with a verse???? How does the verse affect you? Does it speak to your current situation? And why are you putting on comments different versions of the same thing? I'm not condeming here - just asking. I know for me...this speaks to the situation with my daughter and was very applicable for me. God Bless!

I read that verse, and what jumps out at me is the word "gently." Sadly, sometimes as christians we judge more harshly, and forgive more slowly....It is important not to be drawn astray by others, but we are still called to love others

GOD IS FAITHFUL TO HIS WORD,HE WILL NOT LET YOU BE TEMPTED AND TRIED BEYOND YOUR ABILITY AND STRENGTH OF RESISTANCE AND POWER TO ENDURE,BUT WITH EVERY TEMPTATION HE WILL ALSO PROVIDE A WAY OF ESCAPE. BE BLESSED

The way in which a sinning believer is to be treated by other Christians in the New Testament church, is in sharp contrast to the Old Testament way which called down judgment on the offenders. Here Paul is telling the Church at Galatia that a believer who is overtaken in sin, should be dealt with gently as to try and restore them to fellowship.

The believers in Galatia were a cold and judgmental people who were trying to add to the gospel of Jesus Christ by requiring born again believers to follow the letter of the law in addition to faith in Christ for salvation. They were legalists. So that when one was “caught” sinning they would basically excommunicate them from the church instead of trying to restore the person back into the fellowship of the church, thus helping the offending believer to get their lives back on tract for Christ.

So then, the question arises just who is a spiritual Christian? If a person is truly spiritual, would he admit it? And if he admits to being spiritual doesn’t that show a lack of humility, and even look arrogant and boastful?!
The answer I believe is this: A truly spiritual believer will never boast of his condition, but he will have the tender heart of a shepherd, making him want to restore the sinning believer. He would not act in a prideful superior manner at all, but in a gentle , loving, merciful way. He would, in fact, act as Jesus did when people who were caught in sin were brought before Him (John 8:1-11).
A spiritual believer is also fully aware of their own shortcomings, and understands that they too may need restoration someday. They are not claiming to be sinless or perfect, just forgiven by God and want to pass that forgiveness on to others!

God is always there for us. He is good. help to lift the week, and god will lift us

Perhaps you wonder why your faithfulness is so important. There are plenty of others who can create a good atmosphere and make sure the others are edified. But your faithfulness in your inward life is of great significance!Try to think of yourself as a wall against the evil. If you are unfaithful, then you become a weak link in the wall, and the evil is able to get past you.Maybe you have also noticed that your tone of voice has an effect on other people. If you are full of demands, you will automatically speak in a demanding tone of voice. But if you have decided to do the good and make things fun for the others, then you will be influenced by your desire to do good.Jesus demonstrated throughout His life that it is possible to obtain power over all that is evil. All that you overcome, you gain power over. When you have overcome discouragement, the discouraging atmosphere will disappear when you are around!
For example, when you are with other people and have been victorious over gossip, demands, and other ugly vices, these things will not be able to show their heads while you are present! Just think what an effect this has on your surroundings! It is written in the Bible that Satan only comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy. (John 10:10). This is extremely serious, and we must look out for and help one another. Work so that evil things, which come from Satan, are not allowed to be where we are. Pray a lot for yourself and for others, so that everyone can be preserved. Prayer can change everything. Absolutely everything! You are very precious. Your faithfulness in your hidden life—in your heart—is of great significance!
