James 5:1 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for the miseries that are coming upon you.
James 5:2 Your riches have rotted and your garments are moth-eaten.
James 5:3 Your gold and silver have rusted, and their rust will be evidence against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up treasure for the last days.
James 5:4 Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts.
James 5:5 You have lived on the earth in luxury and in pleasure; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter.
James 5:6 You have condemned, you have killed the righteous man; he does not resist you.
James 5:7 Be patient, therefore, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it until it receives the early and the late rain.
James 5:8 You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.
James 5:9 Do not grumble, brethren, against one another, that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the doors.
James 5:10 As an example of suffering and patience, brethren, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.
James 5:11 Behold, we call those happy who were steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful.
James 5:12 But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath, but let your yes be yes and your no be no, that you may not fall under condemnation.
James 5:13 Is any one among you suffering? Let him pray. Is any cheerful? Let him sing praise.
James 5:14 Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord;
James 5:15 and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
James 5:16 Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man has great power in its effects.
James 5:17 Eli'jah was a man of like nature with ourselves and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth.
James 5:18 Then he prayed again and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth its fruit.
James 5:19 My brethren, if any one among you wanders from the truth and some one brings him back,
James 5:20 let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

Why is it possible on one occasion to pray for a sick person and he is healed, yet on another occasion, he is not?
By Johan O. Smith, Norway
Most believers have certainly seen God's power to heal, and many have been healed themselves, but there are cases where nothing helps. Why is this?“To another gifts of healings by the same Spirit . . . .” 1 Cor. 12:9. In other words, there are people for whom healing is a gift. They have a special faith for this, and this faith lies in the Spirit. Through it they are able to heal people. However, faith in God cannot contradict God's will and wisdom. No faith or gift can heal a Job before God's time, until the sickness has accomplished God's purposes. If anyone tries to do so, he will fail, because it is a vain, human effort. Some sicknesses are punishment for transgressions, while other sicknesses help us by restraining us from sinning. If a person with the gift of healing is to become mature in his work, he needs to have enough insight to be capable of working together with God in each individual case. If a person prays for the sick without getting any results, then he is doubtlessly working on his own—without connection to the Almighty God.It is often said, “Jesus healed all those who came to Him,” with the implication that “therefore all those who come to me should also be healed.” But it is a fact that not everyone who comes to us is healed, even if we have the gift of healing. Why is that? It is because Jesus was keenly attentive to His Father's voice. He did nothing outside of His Father's will. His testimony was that He could do nothing of Himself. This unshakable faithfulness in the smallest details meant that no sick person came His way except those whom the Father wanted to heal. Since the Son did everything to honor the Father, the Father did everything to honor the Son.[People’s] prayers would have more weight and power if they had more of the fruits of the Spirit regarding prayer for healing. This in turn would be beneficial for the sick person, for the prayer of a righteous man avails much. When people come to rest in God, they understand that healing the body is not the most important thing. That is why it is written, “Seek first the kingdom of God . . . and all these things shall be added to you.” God's kingdom does not consist of physical healing, but of peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. What then must we do? Our primary concern must be people's salvation. Physical healing is secondary. If healing becomes the primary focus, that is because of a human understanding. The goal for everything must always be the salvation of the soul. Our faith, which has overcome the world, is also strong enough to bear any illness when it is according to God's will and for our own benefit. But if you can be made free, do it! We must, in any case, refrain from human tricks and techniques when we pray for healing, because God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth.

When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, He first taught them what should be behind their prayers, and what was most important to pray for.The prayer Jesus taught the disciples was that God’s name should be hallowed (glorified), His kingdom come, and His will be done. (Luke 11:1-4). A prayer like this pleases God. He answers prayers like these. We can read in James 4:3 that it is also possible to “ask amiss” and to waste prayer on our lusts, such conceit or indulgence.
Pray in the name of the Father
The Father’s name! Not our own name. His kingdom! His righteousness, peace and joy. Not our “kingdom.” His will! This will is good, acceptable and perfect. (Rom. 12:2). Not our self-will, which is not good, acceptable or perfect. Yes, here we get a glimpse into the fervent desire of a true disciple of Jesus Christ to live a life that is pleasing to God, and into the motives for his or her prayers. When we read Jesus’ high-priestly prayer in John 17, we see what was on His heart. Here He prays for Himself, for His apostles and for all the believers throughout all the ages. “I have glorified You on the earth,” He says in His prayer to the Father (verse 4), and continues: “I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.” Here we see a prayer that is completely free from selfish motives. When Paul expressed his fervent longing and his hope, it was that “with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body.” Phil. 1:20.“God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6. This is one of the primary laws of God’s kingdom. It’s no use praying contrary to God’s eternal laws. If this happens, the prayer will be in vain, and we are reminded of Prov. 28:9, where it is written, “One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.”
Help in time of need
In Heb. 4:15-16, we read that our heavenly High Priest, Jesus, was tempted in all points as we are, and therefore we are invited to come to the throne of grace with boldness “that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Grace! Help! In the time of need! The time of need for those who have a fervent desire to live a life well-pleasing to God is the time of temptation and trial, so that they don’t experience falls and defeat, but victory and sanctification.
Yes, let us make use of this blessed place before the throne of grace. There is help there for all those who “call on the Lord out of a pure heart” (2 Tim. 2:22)— that is, with pure motives.
Fellowship in prayer
In 1 Tim. 2 we are exhorted to make supplications, prayers, intercessions and to give thanks for all people. “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.” (1 Tim. 2:3-4). Let us not forget that our resurrected Savior always makes intercession for us. Fellowship with Him also means fellowship with Him in the ministry of intercession.

Our journey n this life is a FAITH walk. JESUS asked, when HE return will HE find FAITH n the earth? (there's a reason 4 that question). HE + WE also say that HIS WORD that go out of HIS mouth, shall NOT return void, BUT it shall accomplish that which HE please, and it shall PROSPER n the things whereto HE sent it... John 15 vs. 7 says if U abide n me & MY WORDS abide N U, U shall ask what U will & it SHALL BE DONE UNTO U. 2 Blind men came 2 JESUS, desiring HIM 2 heal them... JESUS said, U believe that I can do this? THEY replied YES....JESUS said, ACCORDING 2 YOUR FAITH b it unto U...at that very confession their e-y-e-s were open and they could see...............NOW is any among U SICK?... LET them call the elders of the church............ amen! |

Is anyone among you sick? You must pray earnestly to God. When you pray... go to your room, close the door and pray to our Father who is in heaven 3x a day. The prayer must be direct to the Father.(Matthew 6:6-15) After you pray "Our Father". You must confess all your sins to the Lord. Open your heart to the Lord and ask Him to forgive your sins...ask him to heal you... and always say thank you to the Lord.
Final warnings: Do not pray the rosary and do not pray in front of the statue of Mary, statue of Jesus or any kind of pictures, etc. All of these are contradicts to the Commandments of God. The Lord will not answer your prayers. Don't be devoted to the traditions of our ancestors. |
