""For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit; "
Luke 6:1 On a sabbath, while he was going through the grainfields, his disciples plucked and ate some heads of grain, rubbing them in their hands.
Luke 6:2 But some of the Pharisees said, "Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the sabbath?"
Luke 6:3 And Jesus answered, "Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, he and those who were with him:
Luke 6:4 how he entered the house of God, and took and ate the bread of the Presence, which it is not lawful for any but the priests to eat, and also gave it to those with him?"
Luke 6:5 And he said to them, "The Son of man is lord of the sabbath."
Luke 6:6 On another sabbath, when he entered the synagogue and taught, a man was there whose right hand was withered.
Luke 6:7 And the scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the sabbath, so that they might find an accusation against him.
Luke 6:8 But he knew their thoughts, and he said to the man who had the withered hand, "Come and stand here." And he rose and stood there.
Luke 6:9 And Jesus said to them, "I ask you, is it lawful on the sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to destroy it?"
Luke 6:10 And he looked around on them all, and said to him, "Stretch out your hand." And he did so, and his hand was restored.
Luke 6:11 But they were filled with fury and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.
Luke 6:12 In these days he went out to the mountain to pray; and all night he continued in prayer to God.
Luke 6:13 And when it was day, he called his disciples, and chose from them twelve, whom he named apostles;
Luke 6:14 Simon, whom he named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip, and Bartholomew,
Luke 6:15 and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot,
Luke 6:16 and Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.
Luke 6:17 And he came down with them and stood on a level place, with a great crowd of his disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem and the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases;
Luke 6:18 and those who were troubled with unclean spirits were cured.
Luke 6:19 And all the crowd sought to touch him, for power came forth from him and healed them all.
Luke 6:20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said: "Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.
Luke 6:21 "Blessed are you that hunger now, for you shall be satisfied. "Blessed are you that weep now, for you shall laugh.
Luke 6:22 "Blessed are you when men hate you, and when they exclude you and revile you, and cast out your name as evil, on account of the Son of man!
Luke 6:23 Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets.
Luke 6:24 "But woe to you that are rich, for you have received your consolation.
Luke 6:25 "Woe to you that are full now, for you shall hunger. "Woe to you that laugh now, for you shall mourn and weep.
Luke 6:26 "Woe to you, when all men speak well of you, for so their fathers did to the false prophets.
Luke 6:27 "But I say to you that hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,
Luke 6:28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.
Luke 6:29 To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also; and from him who takes away your coat do not withhold even your shirt.
Luke 6:30 Give to every one who begs from you; and of him who takes away your goods do not ask them again.
Luke 6:31 And as you wish that men would do to you, do so to them.
Luke 6:32 "If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
Luke 6:33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
Luke 6:34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive as much again.
Luke 6:35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for he is kind to the ungrateful and the selfish.
Luke 6:36 Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful.
Luke 6:37 "Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;
Luke 6:38 give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you get back."
Luke 6:39 He also told them a parable: "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not both fall into a pit?
Luke 6:40 A disciple is not above his teacher, but every one when he is fully taught will be like his teacher.
Luke 6:41 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?
Luke 6:42 Or how can you say to your brother, 'Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,' when you yourself do not see the log that is in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck that is in your brother's eye.
Luke 6:43 "For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit;
Luke 6:44 for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thorns, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush.
Luke 6:45 The good man out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil man out of his evil treasure produces evil; for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
Luke 6:46 "Why do you call me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do what I tell you?
Luke 6:47 Every one who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like:
Luke 6:48 he is like a man building a house, who dug deep, and laid the foundation upon rock; and when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it had been well built.
Luke 6:49 But he who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation; against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great."

WE ARE WHAT WE ARE...while we may fool some for a time, diligent fruit inspectors are not deceived and God is never mocked. Both Faith and unbelief define the motivations and the produce of our works. Have you looked at your fruit lately?

The proof of the pudding is in the eating;what he has sown let him reap. We all have choices, God has given us the free will to make those choices. Eve exercised her free will in the garden when she ate from the tree of life(Genesis 3). Noah used his free will when he built the ark(Genesis 6). Moses used it to free the Israelites in Egypt (Exodus 13), and Jesus used his free will when he went to calvary and paid the price for our sin when he hung on that cross on Calvary (Mathew 27,Mark 15,Luke23,John 19), so that we can use our free will to follow him to the gates of heaven.
The choices we make today effect the outcome of tommorow. If you use prayer and guidance from God's word as we have it in the Bible before making a decision then we will be following the path that God has laid before us. Paul tells us in Philippians 3 that this path will lead to the prize that God has waiting for us. This prize will be a reflection of the choices that we make today, much like the Buddhist law of karma :- god will be repaid by good and bad will be repaid by bad. We all like good things to happen to us, so my friends before making your mind up today use your free will and ask yourself "what would Jesus do ?" if your not sure, use your bible to seek God's will, the bible is the written word of God so by reading it you are in effect listening to our Lord in heaven speaking to you. Travel along the path that God has prepared for you and collect the prize thats waiting for you. Amen.

Take a good long look at ourselves and ask ourselves is their love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. If we do not have these fruits then we need to pray and ask to fill our hearts with these fruits because our actions mirror our heart and if our heart is still in the dark so will our actions toward everything we do and say. Pray and ask our Lord Jesus for the fruits of the Spirit, the Holy Spirit will guide us and help us with these matters. Give thanks and praise to our Father in heaven through Christ Jesus our Lord, Amen!

fact: CHRIST ROCKZ!!!!!!

So true....It's what's on the inside that counts...

Root out all evil in my heart, o Lord....that I may bear good fruit!

This is very true!!!! Some of us try to ultimately fool ourselves & others by trying to put forth things (attitudes,actions,etc.) that make us seem good or "holy"....but-----if it is just a cover-up.....that is what surfaces!!!! If there is TRULY good in....good will spring forth naturally!!!!! We don't have to try to falsify ourselves---God will bring forth the best in each of us!!!!! LET GO & LET GOD !!!!!! :D

Lord help us to honor you with all that we are.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ. --PHIL. 4:6-7

What does Jesus mean when he refers to a tree here? Well it could be you or a friend of yours or the group of people that you chose to fellowship with. At any rate it is a means of measuring where we are at when it comes to spiritual growth. If you feed water and prune a fruit tree that was planted in the right climate with the right amount of sun, it will likely bear good fruit. If we are in good fellowship, prayer and the word, good will surely come out of us. We can use this measure to determine who we fellowship with and who we go to for spiritual counsel. It is so easy to be led astray, there are bad trees out there! Ask the Lord today to lead and guide you to the right people to fellowship with. Ask him to prune away your bad branches that are keeping you from bearing good fruit. You are doing one thing right now that is also essential, that is learning from his word by meditating on this verse. " Thy word I have hidden in my heart, that I may not sin against you." King David.

What kind of fruit are you bearing? Jesus said "You will know them by their fruit". If you do not like what kind of fruit you're producing, check yourself, check your heart and make the necessary changes. A little pruning maybe all that's needed -- the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit, you know, love , joy, peace, longsuffering....etc. Man looks at the outward appearance, but God searches the heart. Gotta go trim my tree :)). Be Blessed FB Family! Min. Shari M.---Cross2CrownMin. &Publications.

I see everything the Lord says from a parenting aspect. He's letting us know that how our children turn out, is not from how we raise them, but from what is inside them. Nor, can we blame our parents for how they raised us. We are each, our own and whatever we are, will be reflected on what we preach, or, comes out of our mouths for others to hear.

Jesus said we would know another person by the "fruits" or deeds that person does. He did not leave us open to being deceived without providing a way to understand who can be trusted and who to avoid. Of course, there can be temporary deceit, but never permanent if we follow God's Pattern for discernment. I love everyone I meet and I want the best for them. Trust is not given until deeds prove one worthy of trust. How Awesome is our God to give us this tool in our walk to be closer and closer to Him!!

Jesus speaks of the persons like the trees, in the narure we can see that every tree bears his fruit....a good tree bears good fruit and a bad tree bears bad fruit....the nature make not error...I think we should never see a good tree bears bad fruit....Jesus spoke about trees like exemple for the people....who can bear good fruit..? the man without God sure not...why God says in the heart of man there is any well....only one life that meet God and is by God trasformed for bear good fruit for God..

how true

This is so true!!!!!!!!!!1

Just think about your first few computer lessons and remember this Acronym WYSIWYG. (What You See Is What You Get when you print). Also, what you put into the computer is what you see on the screen. Maybe, you can try by opening a word document and type your name and see whether someone else's name will appear on your screen. If you are getting the wrong name or messages you may want to call the repairer in. If you are not bearing good fruit, why don't you call Jesus in today to come and repair you so that you can bear good fruit?
