"As for the man who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not for disputes over opinions. "
Romans 14:1 As for the man who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not for disputes over opinions.
Romans 14:2 One believes he may eat anything, while the weak man eats only vegetables.
Romans 14:3 Let not him who eats despise him who abstains, and let not him who abstains pass judgment on him who eats; for God has welcomed him.
Romans 14:4 Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Master is able to make him stand.
Romans 14:5 One man esteems one day as better than another, while another man esteems all days alike. Let every one be fully convinced in his own mind.
Romans 14:6 He who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. He also who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God; while he who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God.
Romans 14:7 None of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself.
Romans 14:8 If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.
Romans 14:9 For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.
Romans 14:10 Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God;
Romans 14:11 for it is written, "As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall give praise to God."
Romans 14:12 So each of us shall give account of himself to God.
Romans 14:13 Then let us no more pass judgment on one another, but rather decide never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother.
Romans 14:14 I know and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself; but it is unclean for any one who thinks it unclean.
Romans 14:15 If your brother is being injured by what you eat, you are no longer walking in love. Do not let what you eat cause the ruin of one for whom Christ died.
Romans 14:16 So do not let your good be spoken of as evil.
Romans 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not food and drink but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit;
Romans 14:18 he who thus serves Christ is acceptable to God and approved by men.
Romans 14:19 Let us then pursue what makes for peace and for mutual upbuilding.
Romans 14:20 Do not, for the sake of food, destroy the work of God. Everything is indeed clean, but it is wrong for any one to make others fall by what he eats;
Romans 14:21 it is right not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that makes your brother stumble.
Romans 14:22 The faith that you have, keep between yourself and God; happy is he who has no reason to judge himself for what he approves.
Romans 14:23 But he who has doubts is condemned, if he eats, because he does not act from faith; for whatever does not proceed from faith is sin.

Father, thank you for reminding us today that as our faces are different so our characters, attitude and believes are different. where one is weak another might be strong. Thank you for the deversity of differences when brought together we achieve a whole lot. thank you for reminding us not to critisize or be too hard on someone who we think is doing the wrong thing ,remembering that we also can do the wrong things in another way.Give us the heart to pray for that person and also pray for ourselves for love in our hearts to be able to understand and help the other person who is weaker than us.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield;The Lord will give grace and glory;No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly. Proverbs 84:11

In writing to the Romans, the Apostle Paul was encouraging the believers to accept those who were still holding on to some of the Jewish traditions. They were still new in the faith and had to be taught the ways of the New Covenant. Disputes would have only caused divisions among the Christians and that would have not been a good witness to the Roman community.
Friends, how often do we fall into the same trap. Because someone does not believe in all the teachings of our church, we dismiss them and become arrogant in our beliefs. We are not talking here about the fundamentals of our faith, but about the differences maybe in styles of worship or the understanding of teachings that do not pertain to our salvation. God call us to be gracious and to welcome the weaker Christian into our fellowship and then to teach them the Word of God. We obviously have to be watchful and pray for a discerning mind as to error that could creep into the church.The Church of God is to be a witness to the world in the way we conduct ourselves both amongst Christians as well as unbelievers. In everything, God must be glorified!

We need to lift our brothers and sisters up instead of beating them down.

I love this so much.. It's wonderful, and helps with staying in the word of GOD on a daily basis.. He is my strength, and my rock!

We would do well to accept one another in God"s love, and see them for who they are, a child of God, and not concentrate on the things that they are not. We all are in need of His love, forgiveness, and grace.

Thank GOD for HIS word that reminds us that we were once weak and unbelievers, But GOD...He is our delieverer. And it is HIM that makes us strong. We should never forget that someone through the love of GOD helped us to know and believe on HIM. We need each other. Keep me in your prayers.

Something we all can learn from...

The phrase "Choose what you are going to die for." comes to mind! There are certainly things we should not compromise on, such as the Bible being God's Word, and Jesus being God's one and only Son and the only way to God the Father and thus eternity in Heaven. There will always be differences on doctrine, but those who are godly should help the weaker ones to grow in Christ and become a more mature Christian, without the arguing and bickering that can so quickly happen! :)

Thank you for the word & reminding me today Lord

It sounds almost patronising, but I guess it's important, because there comes a point where the blazing enthusiasm in faith can turn into a know-it-all snobbery. It's important to know which hills are there to die on, and where we can agree to disagree, as Christians. Or sometimes, even agree to just wait and see. I laugh when I think how many things I've really changed my mind about since becoming a Christian. Things I never expected to reconsider, I definitely have. I'm sure my journey's nowhere near complete. But if the essentials are there to agree and rejoice in, then small bits, the "disputable matters," just aren't worth quarrelling over.

my box keeps disappearing. How do it make it stay? It stays for a few days and then vanishes.

When I am reminded of these words, I think of one thing...I have much to learn. The phrase, "God isn't finished with me yet," takes on new meaning. If we as Christians thought more about ourselves in relation to God and our role, as God has intended, with others, we would be humbled into silence.

when ever your going to God in prayer,always go with all your frailties,weakness and failings.go in as an empty vessel that is ready to be filled.Never enter his presence with the notion that you have it all,that you have arrived or that you do not really need him:you may lose what u think you have any return empty!For the bible :"whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof:so he that waiteth on his master shall be honoured" {prov 27:18}

Boy, can this be tough. We all need to make this our prayer today.

ok I really needed this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
