  Romans 5:12
Jump to another verse
"Therefore as sin came into the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all men sinned-- "
Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:2 Through him we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in our hope of sharing the glory of God.
Romans 5:3 More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,
Romans 5:4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,
Romans 5:5 and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit which has been given to us.
Romans 5:6 While we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
Romans 5:7 Why, one will hardly die for a righteous man--though perhaps for a good man one will dare even to die.
Romans 5:8 But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.
Romans 5:9 Since, therefore, we are now justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.
Romans 5:10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
Romans 5:11 Not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received our reconciliation.
Romans 5:12 Therefore as sin came into the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all men sinned--
Romans 5:13 sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law.
Romans 5:14 Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sins were not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.
Romans 5:15 But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift in the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.
Romans 5:16 And the free gift is not like the effect of that one man's sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brings justification.
Romans 5:17 If, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:18 Then as one man's trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one man's act of righteousness leads to acquittal and life for all men.
Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by one man's obedience many will be made righteous.
Romans 5:20 Law came in, to increase the trespass; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,
Romans 5:21 so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Have you ever wondered why we sin?
In Romans 5:12-21 Paul shows us that death comes through Adam and life comes through Jesus Christ. Adam introduced sin and death into the world, whereas Christ brought righteousness and life! Because of Adam's sin, we are born with a sinful nature and sin always carries with it consequences; and the consequence of sin is death, not just physical death, but spiritual death as well. Spiritual death means that man is eternally separated from God. So, for one man's sin we all must die, but praise God, that in verse 15 onwards we read about the wonderful gift of God's grace for us sinners. Through Jesus Christ we can receive the gift of God's righteousness and thereby be justified.
Dear friend, have you received the grace of God, for without that you will spend eternity separated from God. Today is the day of God's salvation - accept Him and live forever!

We have all sinned and fallen short of his glory but by and through the obedience of him, we can all be made righteous.

LORD FORGIVE ME FOR MY SINS... THANK YOU JESUS. :)

Our scripture tells only part of the story. We need to read the whole chapter to get the whole story. After God created Adam and gave him the freedom to choose right from wrong, Adam chose to say "no" to God and the perfect relationship was broken and set a tendency for us all to say, "no" to God. We have all sinned, but thanks be to God, He loved us and sent His Beloved Son to pay the price for our sin thru the cross. 'THAT IS THE REST OF THE STORY'. Have a good day. God is only a prayer away.

Amen!!

BUT JESUS HAS COME TO GIVE US LIFE, AND TO GIVE IT ABUNDANTLY!

Death may be considered a punishment however the Lord gave us eternal life to look forward to. Somehow basking in the arms of our Father, feeling His love flow through me, from the top of my head to the tips of my toes sounds great to me. However we need to achieve that goal. For starter if we accept the Lord as our personal Saviour, follow Him and as mentioned we have all sinned and can be made rightious. Praise God!!! He is so good!!!

This is so true I am a witness when you sin death does haunt you, but just keep prayin and hold on true to what is in your heart. God is the ultimate judge and all will be judged and it is for the better just know your place and understand what God is saying to you(everyone) because I had to learn the hard way nobody is exempt. You will pay for all of your sin. That is how we make it to the promise land. Death is just another part of God's Plan. He loves us all unconditionally

Psalm 48:14 says for this God is our God for ever and ever and he will be our Guide. And what this is saying is that even as you as mothers are fathers choose to Guard, Gird and Guide your Family, you must also trust God to Guard, Gird and Guide You. Keep the Faith facebook family

Absolutely true, we inherited sin through Adam and death through sin because of one man's disobedience but through one man's obedience, Jesus Christ, we have inherited righteousness and have been just-as-if- we- never-sinned (justified) because of the work of Christ on the cross. Though sin and death ruled in our members because of the curse of the law, we are no longer under the dominion of sin because christ crucified the sinful fresh and rose again to the glory of God the Father. Since we have received the Spirit that rose Christ from the death, we are longer living under the curse of the law but raised up high together with christ and rule and reign in the heavenly places.

We all sin! A friend of mine struggling with sin asked me for help. When that friend stated that he knew I did not have that same struggle I knew with out God's help I was no better off than him. By all appearances I was squeaky clean to that friend and there may have been a difference. We both know we are sinners, I have given mine to the Lord, my friend needs to yet. I know Christ died for my sins and have accepted his forgiveness. I know that if I confess my sins, He will purify me from anything that separates me from God. HE PROMISES TO DO THE WORK! I commended my friend for recognizing sin as sin. Pointed out that God could see into his heart and knew that he had a pure heart. My friend needed to tell God what he was struggling with. He had to believe that God would hear his prayer even though he was a sinner because Christ died for his sins to bring him to God. On our own we can not have victory over sin, we are powerless. There is hope. That hope is in Christ. We need to recognize the sin in our life. We need to confess our sins. We need to be ready to have God remove them. We need to ask him to remove them. We need to love God and our fellow man. Daily we need his word, we need to be in prayer and fellowship with believers never taking our eyes off of Christ. We need to seek his will for us and his strength to do his will. We should always be ready to share what he has done for us. Has any one ever told you to get a life? I have been told. This is how we get a life! The life we need is in his son. With out him you can not have life.

THOU SHALL NOT KILL,COMMANDED. AMEN

amen

definitely true

Kiplagat Joshua We've all sinned and fallen short of His glory, everytime is repentence time, take note!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,
Romans 5:4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,
Romans 5:5 and hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit which has been given to us. Romans 5:3-5

- Romans 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by one man's obedience many will be made righteous.

but glory be to God for sending His only begotten Son to die for our sins and through His shed blood.....the remissions of sins. I've been redeemed!

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. The only way one can come out from under the wrath of Almighty God, is to confess that you are a sinner! Ask Jesus Christ to forgive you of all your sins. 1 John 1:7 tells us, the Blood of Jesus Christ, cleanses us from all sin. vs. 9 declares, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrightousness. Oh Praise the Lord for His Faithfulness! One does not have to live under condemnation. This very hour Jesus Christ can loose the chains that bind you, and give you a brand new life! How exciting is that? Allow the Holy Spirit to purge out the old nature and make you into one who, with a loud voice, Glorifies God! God is still calling sinners to be saved, and the way is accepting what Jesus did for you at The Cross! Why not be like Zacchaeus of old, when he desired to see Jesus. When he heard Jesus speak to him, Luke 19:6 says, And he made haste, and came down, and received Him joyfully. That is so awesome to me, to read about a lost man receiving our Lord Jesus joyfully! Be justified by Faith and receive His Promise in 1 John 2:25 And this is the Promise He has promised us, even Eternal Life. OH Praise God!!!

thank God for Jesus christ Who took all my sins on the cross, died and rose again that i may be saved. !! amen!
