 Romans 8:28
Jump to another verse
"We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose. "
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death.
Romans 8:3 For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do: sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh,
Romans 8:4 in order that the just requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
Romans 8:6 To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
Romans 8:7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God's law, indeed it cannot;
Romans 8:8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh, you are in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Any one who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
Romans 8:10 But if Christ is in you, although your bodies are dead because of sin, your spirits are alive because of righteousness.
Romans 8:11 If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will give life to your mortal bodies also through his Spirit which dwells in you.
Romans 8:12 So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh--
Romans 8:13 for if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body you will live.
Romans 8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
Romans 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the spirit of sonship. When we cry, "Abba! Father!"
Romans 8:16 it is the Spirit himself bearing witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
Romans 8:17 and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.
Romans 8:18 I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
Romans 8:19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God;
Romans 8:20 for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will but by the will of him who subjected it in hope;
Romans 8:21 because the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and obtain the glorious liberty of the children of God.
Romans 8:22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning in travail together until now;
Romans 8:23 and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies.
Romans 8:24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?
Romans 8:25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words.
Romans 8:27 And he who searches the hearts of men knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
Romans 8:28 We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the first-born among many brethren.
Romans 8:30 And those whom he predestined he also called; and those whom he called he also justified; and those whom he justified he also glorified.
Romans 8:31 What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who is against us?
Romans 8:32 He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, will he not also give us all things with him?
Romans 8:33 Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies;
Romans 8:34 who is to condemn? Is it Christ Jesus, who died, yes, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us?
Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Romans 8:36 As it is written, "For thy sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered."
Romans 8:37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
Romans 8:38 For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,
Romans 8:39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This is my all time favorite. I read it whenever I am worried about something and it brings me peace. I read it a lot when I was in the hospital with Tiana (prior to her birth, 2 of the scariest weeks) and after...Yet it always brought me peace and I knew he would see us through it all and that it would work out! I have truly been so blessed! Thanks God for all you do!

This is the scripture that gets me thru no matter what is going on in my life. I've come to learn it doesn't mean each thing individually is good or feels good, but God will mix it and make it good just as baking a cake - each ingredient is not tasty by itself - but together comes a scrumptious cake.

God works in everything! This does not mean that all that happens to us is good. Evil is prevalent in our fallen world, but God is able to turn every circumstance around for our long-range good. Note that God is not working to make us happy but to fulfill his purpose. Note also that this promise is not for everybody. It can be claimed only by those who love God and are called by him.

For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38,39

Another nugget of God's truth: For those who love God, He works everything for good. He has a purpose for us. It is overwhelming to think that God would use us to assist in his purpose. The ultimate thing though is that He loves us. Not loved as in something that ends, but it is continual. Wow!!!!

THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BECAUSE A GOOD FRIEND TOLD ME THIS VERSE AND I KEPT IT CLOSE TO MY HEART.

Whatever we face in life, we have the assurance that it is working for good as long as we love and trust God. This is why we must not lean to our own understanding but always pray and believe God knows what's best for us.

Romans 8:28 says that 'all things work together for good'. There is a difference than saying all things are good. Here I understand that God takes life's mix of good things and bad things and arranges them so that they result in good

Despite the hell we all go through, despite the tears, hurts, anger, feelings of hopeless and misunderstand towards ourselves, towards our situations, and somtimes towards God Himself, we take ourselves to this verse and Jer. 29:11-14 and realize God knows what He is doing, whether we realize it or not--God is watchful and caring over ALL of His children! HAVE A BLESSED DAY!

9-25-2009 P.M. When you are absolutely convinced that Jesus died on the cross to spare you from eternal punishment and give you the free gift of eternal life, then the troubles of this world are put into perspective. You know that your future---for all eternity---is secure. That gives you peace no matter what happens in this life, and it changes the way you react to the troubles and trials that come your way. Rest well tonight. God Bless, Brother Danny

Life is good, but like others I have faced trials and tribulations in my life. God has allowed these experiences to happen for a reason. One of my favorite verses in the Bible, Romans 8:28 gives me the reassurance that everything will work out for good no matter what. God is faithful, and He will take care of us, and protect us, with His infinite mercy, and saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:28 We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.

Even in those situations in our lives that God permits that seem so painful to us, we may not always understand why He permits them, but if He has allowed it in your life then He has a purpose behind it for our good. So we can be thankful in all situations good and bad. This side of heaven we won't know why God allows things that He allows in our lives but we can thank Him for being with us. Sometimes when you are hurting its hard to rejoice, but remember God is bigger than any situation in your life that seems too big for you to handle. I am just thankful He is with me in everything and will never leave me nor forsake me. I know when I am happy He is happy and when I hurt He hurts also.

This is one of my favorite verses in the bible. In difficult times, our hope is not based on wishful thinking nor on positive thinking. But based on the biblical truth that God is in complete control of everything. That God specializes on bringing out the good in any bad situation that we are in. And that everything happens for a reason ... to serve God's purpose and great master plan for his children.

This is one of those verses that can get you through all the rough times in your life... it can also remind you of the road that you came down to get to all those happy moments.... you just have to remind yourself that there is a reason that we go through the things we do.... it builds us stronger and builds our faith so that we are better able to handle the gifts that come at the end of the suffering.... you have to remind yourself that you are stong in Christ and that he will see you through to the path that He wants for us....

The key thing to remember here is that we must love Him and do what he has called us to do in order for everything to work for good. Otherwise, we suffer the consequences.
