Change. What a small word for full blown life impact! Our Heavenly Father is ever changing, ever creating and yet there are things about Him that never change at all. The fact is, that everything He creates has change built in. We are prewired to be something new, something different. Every contact we make with Him changes something about us. The bible tells us that we move along with every encounter toward a destination that we can only partially see. 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord. We are most like Him when we remove the static boundaries and explore ourselves within the depths of His Spirit living in us. What can we hold on to that compares with what He has to give us? When we release people, places, things...He refills the empty spaces with new life. Vibrancy and color take shape. Imagination and hope jump to purpose. Suddenly, we have purpose. Change is doing her best work!
2:22 And no man putteth new wine into old bottles: else the new wine doth burst the bottles, and the wine is spilled, and the bottles will be marred: but new wine must be put into new bottles.
Change creates room for the newness of life in His Spirit. If you are in the midst of upheaval and change, you're blessed! God is creating something new in you. There isn't room for the past any more. It can't fence you in or hold you down. It has to go!
5:17 Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Take a new look at yourself today! You are not who you were yesterday, and you're not who you will be tomorrow. The ever-changing, never changing God has a perfect plan for you. Change! Let God have His way. Give Him license to create, to perfect, to clean out, remove, restore, refill, replenish. Move in closer to the stream of His Glory that will not leave you the same. What do you have to lose except something old and dusty?

Wickedness is knowing the right way, "the God way" and then taking your own way. We are all guilty at some point of doing that, aren't we? Our culture allows so many gray areas, that it seems to be ok to step from holiness into worldliness once in a while...after all, who will point the finger at you? Not your Christian brothers and sisters...they wouldn't dare throw The Book in your face...because where sin abounds grace doth more abound, right? So what's the big deal? It's my life...I should make the decisions that feel right to ME--God will understand, won't he? Are the Holy Scriptures just a guideline to use when we want? Is it just a "good book" to live by until you want to make decisions that are contrary to His Word? 10:26 For if we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, Let's just read a little further... For if we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins but a fearful prospect of judgment, and a fury of fire which will consume the adversaries. A man who has violated the law of Moses dies without mercy at the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment do you think will be deserved by the man who has spurned the Son of God, and profaned the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and outraged the Spirit of grace? (Heb.10: 26-29) Is it not love then, to have The Book thrown in your face by those who see a treacherous outcome just a little farther up the road? Or is it better to continue in sin...and have our way...knowing of course, that our way surely is better than God's. Is it possible to be a Living Sacrifice when our way is more holy to us than God's way? Worship is submissive, loyal, sacrificial, obedient to the Word of God. Jesus said "Why do you call me Master, but you don't do what I say?" Who are you worshipping?

I walked through Barnes and Noble recently--through the Young Adult section and I have to tell you, I literally felt sick. Not just one end cap, but many end caps and several sale tables were devoted to books on the occult. Fiction, how to, and romance books teaming with vampires, witch craft and demonology. This is the fruit of the recent Twilight phenomenon. There are dangerous doorways being flung wide open for teens to walk through which appear innocent on the surface...but this is not innocent fun any more. It's time to speak up and safe guard our kids. I want to take a moment to point you to an article that I wrote with the help of another member of MyChurch, Dan Istvanik, Youth Pastor at Berean Baptist Church in Mansfield, Ohio. Please read the article and pass it to as many teens as you can. I think Dan shared some very sound advice for teens on this hot topic and we hope it will stir both teens and their parents to talk about these very serious issues. To read the full article, you will have to subscribe, but the subscription is free for a year (if you subscribe by April 10th) and while I'm not here to promote the e-zine, I can say you will enjoy it and be doing a good thing because the e-zine supports missions and charities--so no strings attached. Blessings, Birdie

The attention of the world is riveted on Israel and although I don't want to make this a political blog in anyway--many of the Christian faith are watching with mixed emotions.
Personally, it saddens me that Hamas leaders and supporters place so little value on human life that they not only place their own innocents in harm's way but then they exploit the outcome to gain media support. This, to me, is unconscionable. The blame for every bloody and burned body that is being graphically exploited all over the Internet lies squarely on their shoulders. They are terrorists and the blood is on their hands. I say that with tears of sadness mixed with hot anger for the callous disregard for and subsequent loss of children, brothers, mothers, fathers, sisters, neighbors--when life sustaining peace was easily within reach.
I received two emails this morning that I would like to share with you in part. The first was from a Rabbi in Jerusalem asking for continual, unceasing prayer support for the Israeli soldiers. For those of you who read Torah and would like to read the Tifferot prayers over a specific soldier, I can give you an email address to adopt a soldier by name, if you message me. As you know, Israel is anticipating heavy casualties before this operation is concluded. Although it is wise to understand and prepare for human loss as a result of war--we know that our God is mighty and does great exploits. Our prayers are so valuable to Israeli families who all have someone fighting right now.
Those of you who support Israel and would like to extend your help in time of need to Israeli families who are displaced and living in bomb shelters you can donate money for food and basic supplies by contacting the following organization:
American Friends of Yad Ezra V'Shulamit 3470 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 1020 Los Angeles, CA 90010
Their website: www.yadezra.netAs Christians we know that this is a breath taking time in the history of our world. Every time Israel makes a move politically we all wait and wonder--will this lead to the return of our Messiah? We of course cannot even begin to speculate on things like that but we still think it. We still wonder, we still wait. Right now, this very minute I hope you hear the call to pray for God's will to be perfected and to take a real step forward to support, not a political cause, but a family in need. We can't change the political unrest...but perhaps we can process senseless devastation more easily when we step forward to help people instead of causes.
