IF YOU WERE GOD...?

What would you do?  What would you allow?  How patient and longsuffering would you be?
Would you allow the "churches" you despise to continue and even flourish?
Would you send rain on the just and UNjust?
Would you allow men and women to be worshipped and usurp your rightful place?
Would you let your children bicker, fight and sometimes devour one another?
God does! (for now)
What manner of men/women ought we be?
II Cor. 5:10-11

It's so easy for us see or hear something that doesn't match our thinking or align with our experience and we have very low tolerance in having to even endure it for a shot period of time. Can you imagine how God feels?!! The One who knows the end from the beginning. The One who can see how far off we have veered from His original intention, yet He doesn't cast down lighning bolts. He doesn't get all shook up and start figuring out an alternate Plan B. He is giving us every opportunity to turn and cry out to Him. Oh how desperately we need to see things from His perspective. It would change churches, lives, and history! May we all draw close and recline upon the breast of our Father until our hearts are beating in synchronization with His. Charlie

God had the patience to wait 30+ years for me to quit my foolishness and begin to pursue Him with consistency, even blessing me along the way, whereas sometimes I have difficulty letting an annoying word pass w/o verbally lashing back. How I love His unshakeable PATIENCE!! ~mike
