Thesis+antithesis->synthesis When the process is continuous, the synthesis becomes the new thesis. White+ 10 percent black ->lt grey lt grey +10 percent black->md let grey truth + small falsehood->10 percent lies 10 percent lies + 10 pecent more new lies -> 20 percent lies 20 percent lies + 10 percent newer lies etc etc etc In churches believers + unbelievers=thesis+antithesis gathered together repeatedly, over a social issue (seeker service, "bible study", small group etc) In a facilitated meeting=group leader or change agent to achieve concensus (a predetermined outcome). Dr. Peter F. Drucker ....open discussions discover what the objections are (the antethesis). With geniune participation, a decision doesn't need to be sold. Suggestions can be incorporated, objections addressed, and the decision intself (consensus) becomes a committment to action. Dissent-(antithesis) is a necessary ingredient for innovation (change technology), and committment (consensus). Without dissent you cannot enter into the dilect process (therefore NEEDING unbelievers in this process). This MOVES the believers farther away from the facts (a synthesis results). This synthesis is the believer moving farther and farther away from core beliefs and absolutes because of dissent and the concensus of the group dynamics to maintain the human relationship within the small groups. Conflict arises therefore for a consenus to win the day, the believer must give up a little of their 'truths' to maintain the peace and resolve conflict. The 'agree to disagree' philosophy is used in conclusion. Building a church of small groups-  page 96, Willow Creek Book-(affiliated with Saddleback Church).
Allow the group to live in tension of unresolved conflict. 14:33 For God is not [the author] of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.  p. 155
"Nod that you understand, even if you don't agree." That would be called a LIE. They advocate you to LIE!!!!  Breaking through the Brain Barrier???
So change = turning your brain off??? Peer pressure (belonging) is the forced that is utilized by the agents of social change to achieve THEIR purposes. Consenus=compromise To repeatedly practice consensus building-is to continually learn the habit of compromise. This gets you to a slippery slope, a place in the beginning that started with one compromise and ended up down the road to a place you would have never agreed to in the beginning. But repeated compromise has lead you there. This is considered by the Hegelian dialect to be evolution, which will end in perfection, thus becoming god. On a small scale=group harmony, on the large scale=religious harmony and world harmony. 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 12:2 And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. MY MESSAGE???? thought it was all about Jesus Christs message! Church Growth-there other names to protect the guilty!!!! seeker sensative, user friendly, purpose driven, mission driven, cell or meta churches, disciplemaking churches, the 21st century church. From Purpose Driven Life: (drivel) "Hope comes from having purpose." (I thought hope comes from the resurrection of Jesus?) "Your purpose (your god) becomes the standard you use to evaluate which activities are essential and which are not." p. 31 (God should be the standard, not our purpose). "The greatest tragedy is not death, but life without purpose." p. 30 (no it would be to live without GOD). "He wants you to enjoy life, not just endure it.The reason you are able to enjoy pleasure is that God made you in his image." p 64 (That's not what the bible says). 3:12 Yea, and all that would live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. Multiple versions of the bible used, the is condemned and/or discouraged, watered-down messages (no offensive message), Things NOT mentioned would be examples of sin, depravity, repentance, judgement, eternal burning in hell is avoided and softened. Self esteem and self needs addressed instead, it will be a highly motivational speech. Designed to be comfortable. What did Christ say about seeker sensitive messages??? Why do you speak in parables Jesus? 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. 13:12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath. 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. 13:14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and [their] ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with [their] eyes, and hear with [their] ears, and should understand with [their] heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. He was cloaking his message in parables so those who would open their eyes ears and hearts would understand, others would not bother with it. Jesus was not seeker sensitive. Three kinds of thinkers: Traditional, Transitional, Transformational Traditional is a black and white thinker. Transitional sits on the fence, open to experimentation and either goes backward or forward. Transformational cannot accept change, justify why facts are not important, rebellious to truth. Tell people 1/2 truth's. Peter Drucker: "The most important thing in communication is to hear what isn't being said." 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

The message according to WARREN: "the wrong question is What Shall I Preach On? The right question is "To Whom Will I Be Preaching???" "Then I consider their needs, hurts and interests, and I ask a second question: "what does the Bible say about their needs?"
