Back in about 2001 I let a fellow stay at my house that was trying to stay sober. He managed to stay sober for a year, get a job and start to get on his feet. He had a young daughter. She' a little over 13 now. when her dad was staying with me she was in grade school. or I guess they call it elementary school.
Her Mom had had an affair with her Dad and even though they lived together breifly they never married, her mom has a history of marrying abusive alcoholics, and is currently trying to get clean from drugs. Long story short She is a young lady in her early teens that's Dad passed away as he got drunk and wrecked his truck, Her Mom has several drug induced psychosis to deal with.
I think of her as a niece myself. She occasionally calls me up, wanting to make sense of thinks. I have her moms permission to take her to church, she seems to be warming up to the deal. But she spent some time in her life under the tutelage of Mormons. There's no real way to make this into a short story, but I'm leary of the fine line between a prayer request and gossip.
So please pray that this young lady would seek Jesus. Intercessory prayer is something I'm new at so maybe some of our more mature Christians can fill in the blanks here.
Dave, Will most definitely pray for this young girl. God loves her and desires to save her and deliver her. She will be drawn by God's goodness. Please be sure to share the good news of her salvation. Robin
