May the Lord touch our hearts with a deeper realization of HIS FAITHFULNESS. What a wonderful time to reflect on what we have to be thankful for. God's love (in practical application) to us personally is most certainly priority ONE! I have been thinking a lot about that lately. When we consider our personal and intimate relationship with God, it makes us want to DO..but then we look at ourselves and see our great lack..we ALL fall sooo short! Ah, but when we reflect upon His faithfulness, we bow in worship.
I believe this is exactly what God wants. He is seeking TRUE worshippers in spirit. I have come to the conclusion that our relationship with God is NOT based upon us, (good, bad or ugly selves), but upon His love (He first loved us) and His eternal plan fully carried out by/in/through Jesus to bring us into the same intimate relationship with the Father that Jesus had (Jn.17:20-23). God IS faithful and worthy of our praise and thankfulness daily. It seems to me to be an extremely one-sided relationship, but that's how God designed and planned it to be. Our motivation must come from that realization of His love and faithfulness toward us. When we "see" God in our lives (and other's lives) ... worship spontaneously happens! It's a WIN/WIN situation!!
Thank you ABBA!
