What kind of crazy things have you done because you were just over the top in love with someone?

We have been talking about how to use the 10 commandments as a mirror to show your listener that they are dirty and in need of the cleansing work of the Saviour. The first commandment is that you should have no other gods before me. Interesting that the first command is about our inate desire as humans to worship something or someone. 

When I was dating my wife Melanie,  I remember making nightly drives to her house at midnight.  I would drive down Rt.19 with everything pitch black just dreaming of seeing her face, holding her hand, and yeh maybe a little kiss. (Blushing) Sometimes I would stay for 3 to 4 hours and sometimes just a few minutes just to say hey or even goodnight. We were and still are in crazy love.

When you present this commandment to your lost friend you could ask them a few questions such as:

1.Have you always put God first in your life?
2.Has your love for God been so strong that your love for anything else has been like hatred?
3.If I looked at your checkbook and calendar, would I be able to see that you love God more than anything or anyone?

As soon as you start to present the law that is a schoolmaster that drives us to Christ(Gal 3:24), they will quickly begin to see that they have fallen short of the glory and perfection of God!

You got it Lara. Law to the proud, grace to the humble. When Jesus was on the cross, the two thieves he treated totally differently. One self righteous loud mouth screamed if you're the Christ then get us down from here and Jesus was silent to him. The other said shut up. We are here for just cause and said to Jesus, remember me in your kingdom. Jesus said today you will be with me in paradise. Two different responses to two different hearts. Most people in American think they should go to heaven because they are good so this will help them get a reality check, hopefully!

Good post. I agree with Lara also, that some know and boldy proclaim they are "worshippers of Samuel Adams" or "church of the latter day heathens" with these I continue to "dung" the ground and plant little common sense seeds of what the payoffs are and pray for or talk about the secrets of God to them.
In Evangelism we can be
A:a wall to God (with sin in our life)
B:a mirror (making people look at themselves) or
C:a glass (transparent so people can see straight to God.
I have found that living a holy life as an open book and a clear concious gets attention from those who are engaged in satans thought life or posessed by him. This speaks to the subconcious as God has poured out His Spirit upon all flesh. God's presence in you is the hope of glory.
