Well let's see there's Philippians which teaches me about being sold out for Christ and for others.  I can't read it without getting all pumped up by Paul's single minded focus.    "For me to live is Christ and to die is gain"  "I count it all rubbish that I may know Christ"  "Contentment with Godliness is great gain"  "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."  "Your attitude ought to be the same as that of Christ Jesus who did not consider equality with God something to be grasped but made himself nothing."

It's hard to pick just one - the whole Book is so awesome!  I actually love Leviticus because of how much more it makes me appreciate what Jesus did for us on the cross.  But I have to agree, Romans is so packed with theology and truth for daily living.  As meals go, Romans is like the Thanksgiving feast!

Leviticus? Wow, that is devotion to God's Word.

For me, Psalm 103. (Many others too, but especially that psalm.) It was read from the pulpit one morning in church. The time of worship was ok, but Psalm 103 made me weep with joy!

he does not treat us as our sins deserve
or repay us according to our iniquities. v.10 ...people just don't make this stuff up!

So many....

Here's one I have been meditating on for a while now:

1 John 4:17
Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.

Why can we have boldness? Because just as Jesus is......so are we,,,,IN THIS WORLD!

That verse right there speaks volumes to me. It says that we CAN heal the sick. We CAN raise the dead. We CAN cast out demons. We CAN love unconditionally.

As Jesus is, so are we....right now...right here.....in this realm!

That's powerful. I need to meditate on this some more.

Romans 8:37....In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us!

That fires me up!  I am not just a conqueror I am more than!  Of course through Christ!
