Cathy-

What is the Mississippi blog?  How much time a day are you on MyChurch? Is it worth it? Sounds like you love it!

Good question, Jeff!  I've been curious about this myself.  On any given day, way less than an hour.  I tend to get on a few times a day, if I'm around the house, for about ten minutes at a time.  A couple times a week I am writing (messaging) friends, so that ups the time spent by about a half-hour.

Jen-

How long have been apart of MyChurch? I have been on for about 3 weeks. It has grown by 30k people since I have been on.

Like Cathy, I keep mychurch minimized in my computer all day and check blogs and my local church activities everytime I have spare time to read. ;-)

I check it most everyday SEVERAL times a day... Do I think it's worth it? Yes, My church uses it to start prayer chains and to pass on information.  Encouragement is another important thing that I have received from mychurch, not to mention all the friends that without mychurch we probably would not have ever met that is until we get to Heaven!.  Thanks for asking...

On an average day, probably 3 hours.  My wife and I moderate our church's page and we keep our members hopping with games and ideas and it's an awesome way to communicate prayer requests, praises, and just to stay in touch between church services.

Bro Jeff-great blog,
my time on mychurch is all about ministry! several hours are spent here in an effort to build people up for ministry SOUL-Winning to be exact,I am in full time ministry and this is my way of not wasting time with idle things. I have learned to spreed the time out  because it can consume your time and become a thing of passing away time "If you know what i mean"
but for me it is all ministry.

Funny  this morning after I left my daily nugget on my friends pages I asked myself this very same question.

I am planning to blog on my feeling regarding this topic sometime this weekend. I have began to feel like my time here is not as productive as I would like it bo be because I keep encountering "LukeWarm Christians", then the Holy Spirit whispered in my ears, "this is why Jesus supped with sinners because He did not come to save those who were already saved, but those who were lost.

Jeff Great Blog and good question

I spend about 5 to 6 hours on mychurch, and I read blogs then I ask God how to answer and most of the time He gives me Scripture to answer with, so yes I love it and it's woth it to me, because I love spreading the word of God I use to teach for years and I miss that so when I was presented a chance to do this I was gratful I know it was God He knows How to fill a void, I want to bless others encaurage others uplift others, Lead others to the saving knowledge of Jesus, or repentence anything that will let them know that God Love them all they have to do is surrend all to him. So jeff if you will it's my Bible Study God has given me back.

I guess I probably spend 2-3 hours here a day, sometimes less, sometimes more depending on what I have going on that day.

Good question Jeff.
At work for about 5 hours in the afternoons, I usually have MyChurch minimized so that if I have time I'll read blogs or check messages, and if there's time, I'll answer or comment after prayerfully considering them.  My mornings are dedicated to the Lord, so my time on MyChurch is limited as I pop on to check the blog feed I have set up from my website, and my evenings are dedicated to my family and the church ministries that I am involved in.  To me, MyChurch is definitely worth it.  It is wonderful to meet and fellowship with others in the Body.
God bless you.

Do you feel time on MyChurch takes away from family, fellowship, Bible, or prayer time? Since you've been on MyChurch have these suffered?

It has not happen to me, but I can see the potential of becoming addictive to some people.  I really believe that if we follow Proverbs' advice, we'll be ok...  Everything has its time!!!

Hello. My name is Michael, and I am a MyChurchaholic!

I need help bad!

At first it started with just a little sip of MyChurch. Then within a week or so I was taking great big gulps. Now, I am afraid to say, I am chugging up a storm and it only seems to be getting worse!

At first I wanted all my friends to come along. But now I find myself sneaking off alone to secretly, write and read blogs.

What has my life become?

OK....that was a little exaggerated. The truth is I have been blogging on Yahoo 360 and Blogger for several months now. But MyChurch offers much more interaction, and a lot more depth of conversation.

I love it!

My day starts around 6:30am... morning cup of coffee and my computer.. that's when I logged on to MyChurch...  if you're on my friends list you might see me online all day.  That's because I work at home, online all day.   My laptop goes everywhere with me, so it's not often that I'm not online.  Right now, I'm away from home in Florida with my grandchildren and my laptops is with me.   I usually logged off the computer after midnight.

I have found MyChurch so very different from other online communities.   The people I've met have been great, I love the interaction.  I love the fact that I am in constant communication with people from across the country and around the world.   MyChurch has become an extension of Kenami Ministries.   Pastor Ken and I have made a lot of friends here since we joined in August, and we have been so very blessed by these connections.   Is it worth it?   Absolutely.

Pastor Aminata-  What a blessing! I imagine when another million people or so join us!  Wow! I feel the same way with our ministry!

Here's a question. Do you see MyChurch as a place to minister, a place to be ministered to, or a place to fellowship?

Jeff,

It has been all three for me.   I minister here, have been ministered to here, and enjoy the fellowship, I have spoken on the phone  to quite a few people from the MyChurch community, so it goes beyond just blogs for me.

to answer you last question... I see mychurch as a place to minister and a place to be ministered to... as well as a way for God's children to connect from all over the world.

Pastor Aminata-

How long have you been a part of MyChurch!  I have been on the phone as well with peopel I have met here.

Jeff,

There has been three things that has been a wonderful blessing to Pastor Ken and I this last year.  First, our E-telecast which is seen all over the world, (I'm still in pinch me somebody- mode) second, is our podcasts which we started in June and is now up to over 37,000 downloads, and MyChurch where we joined at the end of August and have almost 300 friends.   Now with all of this comes more responsiblities, but the Lord has given us the ability and His Grace to handle it all.

I've been on MyChurch since Feb. or March, Jeff.  I'd probably spend a little more time on here if I had it available, but I can't see that happening any time soon!  (Just got another job today, which starts at 4 a.m.  Yikes!)  I'm trying to fit in more writing time, which isn't really MyChurch time, other than I end up posting what I write on here if I think it'll encourage people.  I post the same stuff on MySpace, and spend even less time on there than I do on here.

Lara-

Kind of novelty to me as well. I am blown away at a place to meet with all these different believers. Even though I have even spoke on the phone with someone from MyChurch, I wonder if the inpersonal part is really what I want. Who is your new mentor?

I've spent enough time on My Church to meet some nice folks.  Probably less than an hour although I to check in from time to time at work.

Lord, lead Restore to a place in the body where she can connect and be blessed to under Godly leadership, blessed fellowship, and be a big blessing in Jesus' name. Amen!

I check it off and on everyday when I am home.  I like to answer any messages and friend requests as soon as possible.  I also like to check for any prayer requests and write when I have a chance.  I guess all total maybe an hour and a half a day, not sure if that is accurate could be more could be less.  I hope I am making a difference and touching someones life with my input on this website.
