| Prayer Request - Work Peer whom I am ministering to |

Please pray for my peer's Torre's father and family. Mr Palmer my work peer was out most of the week prior to Thanksgiving and the week of Thanksgiving due to his father having back surgery. Things are looking grim from my viewpoint, although I have never experience it.
The week of the surgery Torre's father (76) went into cardiac arrest twice. They revived him twice. Torre is a great employee, old school and wouldn't cheat a minute from the company, infact he probably cheats his salary in comparison to the hours he works. So it was killing him to have to take extra time off, and I had to tell my new manager of his situation. Now that he is back to work they have decided that after the angioplasty Senior Palmer needs to have a fibulator put in. They are trying to schedule his surgery for tomorrow or Monday. Mind you he just had back surgery two weeks ago, and went into cardiac arrest because he is a diabetic and couldn't handle the drug of morphine for pain.
I am ministering to this peer, not because he isn't saved but see he is 53 and he, his immediate family, and his extended family are 75% Morman. I know they are probably saved. And I am not writing this to start a controversy so if you want to comment on legalism send me a message, I will delete any religious debate comments off this blog.
Now don't be offended, I don't understand the Morman religion and I am not dissin it. They got some great things down... like recruitment and tithing, and sports at BYU.. but I believe in only ONE bible and word of God. That is all I have to say about that.
Anyway, thanks in advance for your prayers for my work peer, his father, and my ministery to him as a growing Christian (non denominational, more babticostal).

Tso thank God for your heart. I only wish more people would extend kindness of thought to others. Yes we will pray for your co-worker. I pray that the Lord bring comfort and make His Presence known in times of great stress.

Joey - thanks, but it isn't me it is all God, and what he lays on our hearts.
Pastor Ami - thanks. He is a sweet soul who drives everyone crazy at the same time everyone loves him to death. He is autistic and all three of his boys are autistic... he yells at me across the cubilcal hallway and his sometimes annoying personality and quirks have blessed me in that I listen to your sermons or my pastors sermons five times in one day. HA... but he is a child of God like I am and I love his soul.

Glenn - thanks we both really appreciate it.
All - See I told him I had a prayer warrier chain of 120 friends or more I would ask prayer for him and his father and his entire family. He was actually quite shocked even though we have theological discussions ALL the time particularly on Friday mornings. He and I agreed to only speak of the bible, not religious differences, and I asked God to show me how to minister to him and grow my ministering and evangelizing skills in the process. See Torre is a sweet soul himself and so is his wife, as they do all sorts of ministries. I am so blessed to have gotten to know him. He visits the prison and ministers to a particular soul or two every other weekend. And he has taught me a bit about what the original apostles knew.
Gene I can only hope to be a beacon of hope to this man. Thanks for the prayers. |
