Hey, that's a great name for a wheel chair ministry, "Holy Rollers."  I wonder if anyone is using it yet?

Today, December 4th, Ric will be transported via ambulance from the VA hospital in Memphis, TN back to his home in Birmingham, AL. When he went in a while back, the hospital stay was expected to last over Christmas and possibly into the new year.

If you would, please lift him and the ambulance personnel up in prayer for a safe journey back home. It is a 250 mile trip. I understand that they will be possibly stopping at a Red Lobster for lunch along the way. Now that is service to behold!

But during this trip, it is entirely possible that Ric will lead one or more of the attendants to the Lord. Ric has a pretty good testimony. After all, when nothing "works" below the neck line; how could anybody want to live a life that? Surely, life must be "over." You think you've got it bad? Ric will not waste his time on you if you are looking for a pity party. Ric is interested in LIFE and seeing what our Lord would have him do next. This guy can go to a place like Hooters and show some of the "lost" that may be there what life is really about! He does the same 10,000 feet above the earth too. Ric is on the lower side...

Remember I mentioned that he was expecting a lengthy stay in the hospital?

For some unknown ;-) reason to the doctors, what put him in there cleared up a LOT faster than most folks in a similar situation. I think this is actually going to be yet another one of Ric's testimonies. How awesome it is that Ric healed in a very rapid manner? How awesome is it that not only will he be home for Christmas, he will be home in time to help put up the tree and decorations. He is even going to have time to do his own Christmas shopping!

Thank You Jesus!

We serve an AWESOME God. And no matter how terrible your situation may seem, I can assure you that when you focus your attention on Him, He will be your best tour guide through this life. Listen to He that knows. Trust me on this one.

I for one am looking for Ric to be safely home so he will have more time to spend blogging here and commenting on other's blogs. He has voice recognition software but many times, I find him using his mouthstick to press each individual key on the keyboard. That actually is a blessing in disquise when typing with a mouthstick. One would have more time to think about what they are writing which, in the long run, will allow them to put a little more thought into their writing and most likely avoid sticking their foot in the mouth. Yes, even a quad can still do that but I'm pretty sure you won't catch Ric in that position. He really does take time to think about what he is doing and really, really wants to encourage others. After all...

13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and for ever.

What a promise! What a Hope! I have no complaints because I, like Ric, knows what lies just ahead... Eternity with Him!

And for when Ric reads this, WELCOME HOME RIC ! ! !
