| THE ANTHEM OF HIS NAME |

2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
Over two thousand years ago, on a night the world has come to call Christmas, a young Jewish maiden went through the experience countless mothers had before her: She brought forth a child.
But this birth was like no other in the history of the human race. For one thing, this Child had no human father. As the angel had promised,
1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
In humble obedience the Virgin Mary responded,
1:38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.
But it also was like no other birth because of the One who was born. This was no ordinary child. This was the unique Son of God, sent from Heaven to save us from our sins.
Amid the glitter and busyness of the season, don't lose sight of the miracle of that first Christmas. With the wise men, let us fall down and worship Him.
2:11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
