I have a fear of crowds. I also have a fear of rejection which is manifested from the fear of crowds. It's funny how something that seems so small can manifest itself to a number of fearful thoughts.
At choir practice tonight we talked about our fear and "confidence"-how we should be confident and not be ashamed of it. We should be confident when we are in fear and it spoke to me tonight.
Sara, your awesome; I was one of the hungry who needed that word tonight.
Thank you Tim for the opportunity to speak to a total stranger about my fear tonight.
Rejection does not seem more fearful around crowds so much as it does with my family. My whole life I have felt rejected and needed to find a place to belong. The more I come to VBF, the more I am comfortable. I feel like I should with my family yet don't have with my own blood.
Thank you to the gentleman that just sat and listened to me while I snotted and cryed everywhere and just sat there respectfully waiting for me to finish my worry and fear. I wish that I had the strength and ability to walk up to one of my fellow congregation as he did when asked just to pray for them. I know that God will give that to me when it is time. Hopefully it will be soon.
And most of all, thank you God for putting choir on my heart. I don't think that I could have started off in a better group at church than the choir.
I just wanted to share this with you because I've had some fears on my mind and needed to get them out.

doubt "DOUBT"That word has two meanings. It means either no faith, or little faith; either the absence of faith or the weakness of it. In the former sense, unbelief is not in a believer; But it is. Their faith is commonly mixed with doubt or fear;although ones Doubt is the root of fear that is, in the latter sense, with unbelief or a sense of uncertainty. "Why are ye fearful," says our Lord, "O ye of little faith?" Again: "O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?" that come from Doubt when it is combining with one or more of the
other six troubles.:Doubt, Vanity, Wrath, Envy, Lust, Shame, Enmity, every one of them occasions thoughts suitable to its own nature.
