3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.

7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 7:15 For that which I do I know not: for not what I would, that do I practise; but what I hate, that I do. 7:16 But if what I would not, that I do, I consent unto the law that it is good. 7:17So now it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwelleth in me. 7:18For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me, but to do that which is good `is' not. 7:19 For the good which I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I practise. 7:20But if what I would not, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwelleth in me. 7:21 I find then the law, that, to me who would do good, evil is present.

8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus. 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 8:4 that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 8:5 For they that are after the flesh mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace: 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can it be: 8:8 and they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

2:8 And there were shepherds in the same country abiding in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock. 2:9 And an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 2:10 And the angel said unto them, Be not afraid; for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which shall be to all the people: 2:11 for there is born to you this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord. 2:12 And this `is' the sign unto you: Ye shall find a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, and lying in a manger. 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 2:14 Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men in whom he is well pleased. 2:15 And it came to pass, when the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing that is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. 2:16 And they came with haste, and found both Mary and Joseph, and the babe lying in the manger. 2:17 And when they saw it, they made known concerning the saying which was spoken to them about this child.
