| Child Exposes Parents Porno |

About 10 years ago a team of us were in a naval community in Connecticut going door to door sharing Jesus with whoever would listen. A young lady whose husband had been commissioned over seas was home alone with her children. As she invited us in, we began to share about sin and her need for a savior, when she began to self righteously declare that she was all good. Instantly, her little child messing around with the VCR, pressed PLAY by mistake and to all of our suprise, BAM, a full blown porno kicked on. We turned our eyes as she feverishly scurried to shut the thing off with a blush that would have made Rudolf the reindeer proud. The sexual sin that had been practiced in secret had been shouted from the rooftop!
We have been talking about sharing our faith using the 4 Bases! You can click on this link for a visual. http://www.citytaker.com/tools/4-bases.pdf
1st Base is preaching on sin and we have been sharing with you how to use the 10 Commandments to identify to your listener their sin.
7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Howbeit, I had not known sin, except through the law: for I had not known coveting, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet: Today we are talking about the 7th commandment, You shall not committ adultery and how you can use that in your evangelistic efforts. I could go into all the stats on the rise of internet porn( I actually have hackers that try to put porn on my ministry website, www.citytaker.com ), the divorce rate based on affairs, and the list goes on and on. I'll just end today with what you could say to your proud listener to show them their sin in the mirror of this commandment.
You could say, the 7th commandment is you shall not committ adultery, but Jesus said that if you even look with lust you have committed adultery already, have you ever looked with lust? (Many will say doesn't everybody) What does that make you? An adulterer or an adulteress!
You will see the commandment bring death to self righteous soul and prepare the heart for converstion to Christ(Psalm 19:7) |
