For years nobody raised any objections
 to the salutation of "Merry Christmas" with cheer.
For everyone knew who this holiday was for
 when the season came 'round every year.

 Now, the common greeting you heard through the air
 is no longer 'politically correct.'
 Some generic greeting without the name of Christ
are the words people come to expect.
 But what they don't know about this King's name
 is the fact that it will never disappear.
 And though they despise even speaking His name
 -He's the reason that they're even here.
 There have always been people who try to remove Him but every attempt is just met by His power.

And all knees will bow to the great Prince of Glory
 when they're facing their own judgement hour.
 The earth and the seas, and every star in the sky
 speaks the glory of His marvelous ways.

 And the rocks on the hillsides are prepared to cry out
 if the people of earth fail to praise.
 So with highest honor and joy in my heart
 I'm sending a "Merry Christmas" to you.
It's not just happy holidays...and Christ won't go away
 no matter what the scoffers might do.
