Lips

Dearest Lovers of God.

I came across two words in the King James Bible that I would never think to use together, “uncircumcised lips” – in all fairness I must tell you where these lips are located and in what context they are referenced. Where, Exodus 6:12, context, Moses’ response to God’s command, “…the children of Israel have not hearkened unto me; how then shall Pharaoh hear me, who am of uncircumcised lips?”


Hear again in Exodus 6:29-30 the described lips are mentioned, “That the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, I am the LORD: speak thou unto Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say unto thee. And Moses said before the LORD, Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh hearken unto me?”


As you go forward in the will of God don’t concentrate on how well you articulate concentrate on the truth of the matter, God has called, chosen and ordained you to speak, deal and negotiate on His behalf in the earth. That does not mean to neglect doing your homework and research – knowledge definitely has its place as you enter into new arenas of business. Even the Bible concurs in 2 Timothy 2:15, “study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 


Do you know the Master’s voice? A worker does and is not ashamed because the word of the Master is rightly divided!

Dear Priestess,

Thank you for reminding us that we need to not only circumsise our hearts but also our lips.  Because Moses was slow in speech and in tongue (Ex.4:10), he hesitated to speak God's word with authority before the king.  But when the Lord tells you to speak on His behalf, we must be assured that He will give us the words to say.  Ezekiel 3:4-6 reminds us of this:  "Then He said to me: “Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with My words to them.  For you are not sent to a people of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, but to the house of Israel, not to many people of unfamiliar speech and of hard language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely, had I sent you to them, they would have listened to you."


I'm growing each day in wisdowm and knowledge of the Lord and continue to pray for understanding and more knowledge and wisdom.  I want to be ready when the Master calls upon me to "speak on His behalf". . . without fear or intimidation. But with a certain boldness that only comes from knowing and believing in the power and might of the Lord.
