4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings; and ye shall go forth, and gambol as calves of the stall. Repentance seems simple enough. But letting go of the old means the courage to step into the new. A continuing mission to explore new territories, if you'll excuse the Star Trek reference. I spent a lot of years doing what was right in my own mind. Buying deception upon deception.
The only thing I really need to be willing to change is everything. That ain't to difficult is it? One of the first thing to change is Goals. I.E. rather than managing debt as a Goal maybe I need to think of getting out of debt as a goal. and how do I get there, after racking my brains on this project I think it should start with a prayer.
Learning to take this step first would be quite a worthwhile change. Maybe prayer and meditation 1st would be a good change. After all it's kind of hard to have a relationship without communications.
Getting out of debt is a hard goal to even consider. But I definitely think Gods putting it on my heart. I also thnk this has something to do with changing my employment situation. One of my least favorite of changes. I really felt there was some Divine intervention as I hired on here at Hamilton Center. I have somewhat of a passion for working with people who have for the most part been discounted by our society.
But I'm beginning to feel like it's time to consider moving on. Hopefully I'll start getting a more clear vision as to what or where. Well the first chapter in Rick Warren's book says it all starts with God.
I always waited and let economics, sprinkled with desperation make the decision for me. I started off in the work force in Telephony, but like many fields there have been a lot of changes in that one. I now work in the Mental health field because I myself have had to battle addictions. I now find that treatment is great and to some point necessary, but to me when it comes to addiction as well as many things there's no denying the need for Jesus.
Maybe rather than sitting down and trying to think my way through this I should start wit hthe basics. Start by praying for God's heart in these matters. 12:10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, And the breath of all mankind? After all as I have fewer days ahead as than behind. Maybe I need to start thinking in terms of what's next papa. I know as a kid I was raised on the Myth that Jesus' as a baby never cried. 'cause crying was a sin.
Where did that come from. Where did the fear of expressing emotions in prayer was a sin. I wonder if our father in heaven can accept a prayer from a person with emotions. Most of the Psalms express some sort of emotions Psalm 102 Refers to loneliness. Psalm 51 didn't exactly sound like it was written on a good day.
Oh well these are a few thoughts that were running through my mind. Maybe I'm wrong or maybe they are just growing pains.

| The word of God says that Jesus wept. I think tears can be part of washing out the dirt in our life as well as tears of joy and thanksgiving for Jesus. |

126:5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Change everything or die One step at a time, one day at a time. Emotions are something I never did right, I know what they are today and a good cry is healthy Thanks for sharing Donna |

Dave, prayer is always a good start. I think that Crown Ministries has some real good insight into managing money including debt. I think Sue might be helpful in this area, it seems she has posted a few blogs on the subject. I will pray with you that God reveal His direction for your life in His time. peace |

Dave--you always have an encouraging word. Here's one for you from God's word: Psalm 32:7-8 "You are my hiding place and refuge; You surround me with songs of deliverance." Then God answers the psamist (I'm not sure if it was David) in v.8 "I will instruct you and teach you in the way that you should go. I will guide you with My eye."

| If you figure that we are all conforming to the image of God, then we are in a state of constant change. Once we accept that, it gets easier. (From one who struggled with it for years.) |

| I've read this book, but did not know the things Tropical Guy mentioned. Still to comment on your blog...we all have to go through change, and it certainly is never easy. If we do it though, we will be better for it in most cases. Definitely go to the Lord in prayer over EVERYTHING. |

| Good Blog. Like Deb I found out that it goes better as we pray. God Bless |
