I'm hearing the same thing, in the form of... "take the next steps, and keep listening and loving as you walk." Ken

Kelly Fryer, Pastor John, and I all giving you the same message? Maybe if you ask someone else you'd get a different message. ;-) You already know what I think. Angela

Wow. So, if everyone moves on, am I left behind holding the bag? LOL It is really quite simple -- or meant to be -- and it is already in our mission -- love, grow, GO! We need to get GOING! GO in Christ. I'd challenge every member of Peace to prove they are ready. Invite a neighbor, co-worker, or even stranger to worship -- if not worship, to prayer -- if not prayer, to a triad -- if not a triad, to a pot luck -- guage what their needs are, and what they are ready for. Just don't pretend not to know them, or worse, not to know Christ. The roadmap is there: Our mission statement. True to our calling to be and make disciples. We can do this in our own neighborhood(s). We don't have to imagine seeding a new church -- though that is OK if it gets us 'there' -- or expanding an existing building -- though that, too, is OK if it gets us 'there'. We can do this two ways, as I see it -- bring them "in here" -- or go "out there". I think that we are proceeding nicely down a path of doing a bit of both. Can we do more? Heck yeah! Here is my laundry list: Getting more people involved in Habitat -- any people, but hopefully some from Peace. Getting more people involved in the Bridge Ministry. What about a Bridge for Women? Working more closely with Casa del Padre. Why not have a Saturday evening or Sunday afternoon spanish-speaking service at Peace? Why not Spanish classes at the church? Working more closely with youth in our neighborhood. Opportunities for mentoring, and/or tutoring. What about the theater near K-Mart idea? Is that an opportunity for some sort of 'joint venture' with another spirit-filled church? How about an exchange program between Gerizim and Peace? What might we gain by bringing some young people interested in ministry here to live and work with us for six months, and vice-versa? So far -- not to feel bad about it -- we have done a good job of collecting other Christains, many of them already Lutheran, and growing them -- now we do need to consider the next steps. GO!
