It is difficult to sort through all of the activities and ministries that are brought our way.  So often, I try to tackle them all on my own.  Without prayer.  I learn quickly that this doesn't work.  I thought our schedule was busy until I read yours Charlie.  Wow.  I can't even imagine.  But it seems like God has blessed your family and your marriage with a special grace and strength to be able to handle all of these challenges.  May He continue to bless and strengthen your family...and may your children realize what a blessing they are given in having a Christian father who is concerned about their spiritual as well as physical well-being.  God bless Charlie!

Thanks Loren...You are so right.  Without prayer and faith, we can't do anything.

Wow!  Busy family!  It is great your kids are involved in many things; Yes, Jesus keeps them out of drugs and all that other garbage, but having interests apart from the bad stuff, even for kids in the world, really keeps them from evil stuff.  And your wife sounds like a Proverbs 31 woman; you are truly blessed, and she is receiving your praise. I am so far from being a good wife, but I have only got 3+ years under my belt, and am learning....

Thank you Lara!  Yes I am certainly blessed to have MJ in my life.  She is no question a gift from God.  "Our song" is Always by Atlantic Starr.  It is number 2 (I think :-) )on my playlist on my profile page.  The words of that song pretty much sum it up and it is amazing that we chose that song so many years ago and so much of it came true. Blessings to you my friend!

Charlie, you bless me.

It wasn't too many years ago when my schedule and yours could have been read side by side.  Things are a bit slower now - although not according to my dear wife's standard.  Nonetheless, I'm reminded what Martin Luther said about being busy.  Normally he'd get up and pray for an hour before starting his schedule.  When he had an extra amount to do, he said he'd spend two hours in prayer.  How else could he be expected to get everything done if not by being led by God?

Peace!

Isn't life wonderful.  Children have a way of showing you the meaning of life. God gives them to us to really understand life.  I miss those times of running in all directions.  God got us through.  All of our children are in church with their children and serving the Lord.  Some of the grandkids are now in college but all are saved.  The family and their activities are special times.  It also prepares Grandparents to be able to continue their running with their activities.  Jerry and I often say we are just reliving our lives with our grandkids.  I will pray for energy and guidance during these hectic years for both of you.
