| Well, our weekend Holiday Fellowship Open House was yet another rousing success! There may not have been as many people that attended as last October's; but I know it was God's will that allowed those who could make it to have a memorable time visiting with others in attendance. Sharon & I were blessed to have the opportunity to offer our humble abode to our neighbors & friends; to have a warm atmosphere in which to fellowship; and for Sharon to be able to 'do her thing' (decorating for the Holidays; cooking several soup dishes & preparing several salad dishes for the occasion). There was plenty of food available & surprises for each guest, as well! Of course, the remainder of the food was brought next morning to the NextStep Ministries for the homeless (not to mention Sharon's ever-popular Breakfast Potatoes!) God continues to bless us & our lives in Him; Our dedication to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission is apparently opening up additional opportunities for us to provide co-leadership & operational co-ordination responsibilities. We pray that God will give us the discernment & proper wisdom to do work that will be pleasing to Him! Our encouragement comes from the many dedicated voluteers, who make up the weekly service teams for food preparation, food service, and clothing distribution. Valley Bible Fellowship is SO appreciated by The Mission & homeless on Sundays! Merry Christmas To Each of You!!! |
