...This is the Title to one of the songs that we will be doing in this weeks service.  (A Song by Kutless)   This song is fitting I think not only for the message that Pastor Mike will be bringing, but also fitting because of the change happening at Rock Spring this week.  (Our move to the new school)  It is so exciting to know that God is moving us and continuing to grow us.  He is preparing us for something only He can help us through.  This song is a very powerful song and is one of those that speaks directly to my soul.  The song is sang as if it were God singing to the listeners.   The main chorus goes like this:

• So tell me all your dreams, tell me all your fears and what you're longing for the most. 
• It's not another way that will end up the same for it's under my control. 
• I'll be the One that you can cry to, the One who'll give you wings. 
• Someday we'll sail away, Mounted up on wings like eagles
• We will run and will not fade away.

Sometimes I just wonder when will we be free.  Free of the hurt and suffering.  Free of disappointments.  Free of the talons of the world.  But my heart tells me that that is not what we truly need or necessarily want.   It says in Isaiah that "those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint."  A very well known verse for sure.  It tells us that we must depend on the strength of the Lord. That though there will be adverse conditions in our lives God allows us to go through them, learn and rise above them like the eagle.  An interesting fact about the eagle...When the eagle gets sick, it flies to the highest point and lays out with it's wings spread out and lets the sun draw out the poison in its body.  An eagle will sometimes lay for a couple of days until it is poison free.  So...next time you are poisoned with the hurt, disappointment, sorrows, ____________(you fill in the blank) of this life, go before God, for as long as it takes, and let Him be the one to give you wings to rise above it.
