( Pastor David Wilkerson ( right ) and Pastor David Cabral ).
It was a turning point for many thousands in a Brazilian town two hours outside Rio de Janeiro, when Pastors Dave and Gary preached in Volta Redonda, on Sunday and Monday, July 20-21, 2003. Said one man who attended, it marked a "milestone among the people of God in our town."
In the two nights, perhaps as many as 40,000 came to hear Pastor Dave give a strong message admonishing them not to slack in seeking Christ, followed the next night with a message about God's call on each individual's life.
The Lord moved so mightily that at the end of each service people crowded the front, crying out to God, praying, shouting for about ten minutes.
Recalling the scene, one Times Square ensemble member says, "I hadn't seen anything like that in a long time."
Many thousands, uncountable, including young people, gave their lives to Jesus.
The response of the youth was phenomenal, and one young guy expressed what both young and old were experiencing when he said, "This crusade will forever be present in my life...the power of God has transformed me."
