So right, Dave.  I am working on casting them there and then leaving the cares there long enough to accomplish something in my own heart.  Sure I'll cast the cares to the Lord, but reel them back in just a moment later.  I have to learn to leave the cares there and praise His name in the meantime.

God is always on time, He might not come when we want like me I want everything yesterday, But our God is a ON TIME GOD NEVER EVER LATE. He has SHOWN UP in the midnight hour and SHOWED OUT

We don't have a problem casting our cares. The problem is we keep reeling them back in.  :)

The picture that helps me is a little child who wants to help a parent carry in groceries. There desire is good but the ability to carry the burden and weight of the groceries is too much. So they let the parent carry them in. Except for the one bag with bread and potato chips. They proudly carry that one in. We have a heavenly Father.

People who live along the ocean have seen what happens to tourists who leave their vehicles on the beach overnight. The tide comes in and the car goes out. Casting our cares upon the Lord is like throwing them into the ocean of GOD's understanding. When GOD comes in cares go out. We have a heavenly Father.

Peace is not the absence of conflict. Peace is the presence of unity. When my heart and the heart of GOD are intertwined I have peace. Not from circumstances but thru them. We have a heavenly Father.

My seven year old doesn't worry about money. How the house payment or car payment is going to be made, money for food or bills. The little guy doesn't worry about none of this. It is not his problem. And I'm okay with that. We have a heavenly Father.

Worry cannot exist without doubt.

Worry cannot exist with faith.

Below is an excerpt from The Chocolate Soldier by C.T. Studd

Doubt sees the obstacle
Faith sees the way

Doubt sees the darkest night
Faith sees the day

Doubt fears to take a step
Faith soars on high

Doubt questions who believes
Faith answers I

.....peace.....

We will always have trials and in our world today so much is linked to money that many of our trials will be with money. What God wants is our heart. Trials are only there to remind us where our trust lies. I love what Lara says..speak God's word out loud. It will never return void. It will either change the situation or change your heart. Either way, you are closer to Him. (Although I say this easily, I walk it out daily.)
