What will you do? | | The Lord has impressed upon my heart to put my writing to ministry. Not just any ministry, but internet ministry for such sites as myspace, free webs, hover, etc. So this what I do, not only because I want to be obedient, but also because there are some who search for God's Word. Or need encouragement from God's Word. Now, I for one need encouragement from time to time. Where as God sends someone who will give me a Word that is befitting to what I am faced with in my time of need. In my first of asking God what should I talk about, my mind went back to a Bible Class we had not long ago. We were talking about fear, and we were discussing how we would much rather live serving God, rather than being in fear, which is what sin brings about. Sin will have you hiding from others so long until you hide from yourself. You will be going through life in denial of your wrong doings. Sin will cause you to believe that that illegal paying job you are doing is doing whatcha' gotta do to survive. It will make you feel like it's not wrong. Everybodies doing it. I am going to be able to quit. Or, I got to do this for my family. The enemy, adversary, which is the devil, will have you in denial so long until your heart becomes stoney, and cold. You don't care how you have to do what you do, just so you do it. You will begin to hurt the people closest to you that you say you love. Your wife, husband, children, and even your family dog would probably get a kick from you every once in a while. Which will cause others to hate to see you coming. This will really make you cold toward others. We must ask ourselves, have we made our lives so cold that others don't want to be around us? Are we just saying we are Christians, and don't have any good deeds, or fruit that testify to our Christianity?! When the last time we helped someone, or said I love you to someone who needed to hear it? Have we shown God that we believe in him, and his Son Jesus? Have we shown him we appreciate him? |
